Photograph of a ritual at an outdoor temple setting. Two bare-chested priests in orange and pink dhotis, one with a long white sacred thread, stand with their hands on a large deity murti dressed in a multicoloured embroidered silk garment, yellow and orange marigold garlands, a gold crown and a jewelled necklace. Another priest in orange garments and a yellow flower garland is at the right beside a green-topped puja stand with a trident and flowers. Several other people stand in the background. The scene resembles a puja or abhishekam being performed on the murti.

A photograph of a Hindu ritual performed on a paved courtyard floor beside a golden shrine-like structure with a gilded pedestal, garlanded with yellow and white flowers. Three priests and a participant sit around a spread of offerings on banana leaves: coconuts with white flower garlands, bananas, grains, pink-and-white flower bunches, a small brass lamp and a copper vessel with pink cloth wrapped around a kalasha pot. The bare-chested priest on the left, wearing a rudraksha mala, orange shawl and white dhoti, holds a small cup and gestures over the offerings. Another priest in white dhoti and a checked cloth sits at the top right with a brass lamp. A woman in a pink-flowered garland and white garment at the lower right places offerings. Coloured mats and a bowl of white and purple flowers are in the foreground.

A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with orange border sits cross-legged at left, holding a small spoon over a silver vessel and offerings. A second bare-chested priest in white dhoti and checked cloth stands at right near a brass lamp. Another bare-chested person with hair in a bun sits at lower right, wearing a flower garland and a sacred thread. Banana bunches, coconuts, rice, marigolds, leaves, and a brass kalasha with a yellow-and-pink cloth sit on the platform. A woman in a green blouse and orange sari sits behind at right.

Overhead view of a ritual puja on a courtyard floor covered with striped cloths. Four men sit cross-legged: three on the left wear bare upper bodies, white dhotis, rudraksha malas and sacred ash or tilak markings, one holding a brass vessel; the man at right in a yellow shawl and white dhoti, with tilak, rudraksha mala and bangles, waves a ritual implement over offerings. Before them stand a heap of bananas, rows of small brass bowls of flowers, fruit and grains, red roses, and a gilded heart-shaped arch framing a decorated kalasha or deity murti garlanded with orange and yellow flowers and green leaves. Brass pots and a lamp are nearby. Four physical people are visible.

Night ritual photograph in a temple-like hall with a fire pit at right. Three bare-chested men in white dhotis stand and perform worship around a decorated golden palanquin or throne covered with white cloth, garlands of red, white and yellow flowers, banana leaves, fruits and lit oil lamps. The central man in a yellow head cloth and gold necklaces bends forward, extending his hand over the offerings; the man at left has his palms joined in reverence, and another in a striped shawl and gold chain stands with hands folded. Women in red and orange saris stand in the background.
