September 19 20152015-09-19A seated bare-chested man in a red dhoti with gold border sits on a raised platform before a deity murti and a lit oil lamp. He wears a red beaded mala and a gold necklace, a white tilak mark on his forehead, and raises his right arm upward. Seated to his left, a man in white robes with a gold necklace holds a microphone, and another man in white with a gold necklace sits beside him. Foreground devotees, one in a yellow shirt, face the altar. Brass plates hold flowers, betel leaves, a conch-shaped vessel and a kalasha. A row of white cups sits on a shelf behind, under dark red drapery, with a golden figure of a bull or lion statue on the right. The scene appears to be a ritual puja or initiation.2015-09-19December 20 20172017-12-20September 19 20152015-09-19December 20 20172017-12-20December 20 20172017-12-20March 03 20182018-03-03A photograph of a seated man in saffron-red robes on a red-cushioned silver throne, with a microphone on a stand beside him. He wears long dark dreadlocks, a white and vertical tilak on his forehead, layered rudraksha malas, a gold chain and gold ornaments, and gold earrings and bangles. He holds a bundle of sticks and a small item over a white cloth bowl. A second man in red-brown robes and a red-brown turban, bare-shouldered and wearing beaded necklaces, faces him from the left and holds the bowl. Behind them is a red and gold embroidered cloth panel. The dark background suggests a night-time ceremony. The seated man's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance; he is described by role only, with dreadlocks, rudraksha malas and gold ornaments as visible cues.2017-10-15A seated man with long dark matted hair, a white tripundra and red bindi on his forehead, and a crescent-shaped ornament with a small figure in his hair, wears a red dhoti and a leopard-print sleeveless top layered with many rudraksha malas and a gold chain. Rudraksha bands circle his upper arm and wrist. He holds a small object in both hands while seated on a silver-ornamented throne draped with red, yellow and white floral garlands. Behind him are a microphone stand, a dark stone figure with a red shawl, and a silver vessel in the foreground beside a carved wooden stick. The scene appears to be a ritual session in a temple-like hall with red and orange drapery.2017-12-20December 20 20172017-12-20December 20 20172017-12-20March 03 20182018-03-03
