A crowd of devotees presses forward with cupped, outstretched hands toward a woman seen from behind in an orange and yellow sari with white jasmine garland and a rudraksha-bead hair band, who is distributing items from a tray or basket. Men in white shirts and dhotis, one with a tilak and bare shoulders, and a woman in white with clasped hands stand among them, some with spectacles. Several children and a man in pink shirt are visible at the edges. Light streams in from the left.

A photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors in a courtyard beside a banana plant and a barred window. In the centre, a bare-chested, shaved-headed man wears an orange-red dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl and a thick orange rudraksha mala, with his back to the camera, facing a figure in an orange-red robe wearing a large white and yellow floral garland. Around them, men in white shirts and women in colourful saris press forward with folded hands, several with flower garlands and marigolds. A woman in a red sari with white flowers in her hair stands at the right foreground, hands joined in greeting. The people appear to be greeting and receiving the robed figure during a visit.
