A seated group of women and girls in a bright hall with red curtains performs a puja. In the foreground a young woman in a white and gold-bordered sari sits cross-legged with palms pressed together in prayer, eyes lowered. Beside her a woman in a white top and red scarf sits with hands folded. Brass plates, a bell-shaped brass lamp with lit oil lamps, small brass vessels, orange cloth and a plastic container of offerings lie on the floor. Behind them many more devotees sit in white, green and maroon clothes, some with hands in prayer. No a person candidate is visible.

A seated group of women in white and cream dhotis and saris with orange, saffron and yellow shawls performs a ritual, several holding small brass handbells and oil lamps. Brass plates with offerings of fruit, red kumkum and sweets sit on orange mats in front of them. Plastic containers and a tiled floor fill the room, with a few people in saffron behind and at the edge of the frame. One woman wears a rudraksha mala and sindoor. The setting appears to be a satsang or puja gathering in an ashram hall.

A photograph of several women seated cross-legged on a mat in a bright hall with red curtains, holding small brass oil lamps with lit flames. The woman in front right wears a cream and gold-bordered sari with a yellow shawl and bangles; the others wear cream dresses with orange shawls and tilak marks on their foreheads. Brass plates with red flowers, a plastic container of petals, and a bottle of water sit on the floor in front of them, and more people, including children, sit behind them, some holding lamps. A photograph of a seated group of women in white and cream traditional dress with gold-bordered edges, many holding lit oil lamps or flames during a ritual. A woman in front wears a yellow shawl and rudraksha-style beads, and another in the centre wears glasses and a white sari with a gold border. Brass plates and small offering dishes sit on orange mats on the floor, and a child in a pink top appears in the background. The hall has pale walls and a side table with a tall lamp. A few people at the edges are partially visible. The image appears to show a lamp-lighting or aarti-style gathering rather than a named ceremony.
