Many wear saffron/orange robes, while others wear white clothes. Long bamboo poles tipped with orange cloth stand upright in the foreground. Behind them stand granite blocks, stone walls, sand piles and construction forms under green trees. A figure in a white top sits on a stone block near a brass vessel at left. Ritual activity appears to be a puja at the site, though no specific deity murti is clearly visible. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance.2006-12-12December 07 20062006-12-07 +2 copiesDecember 12 20062006-12-12 +1 copiesNovember 10 20112011-11-10Outdoor temple construction site with bare earth, low concrete walls and wooden scaffolding under a clear sky, backed by a large leafy tree. Women in white, grey and red saris carry shallow metal trays and bowls across the ground, while others in white stand along the construction walls. A few men and onlookers stand around the perimeter, and a photographer with a camera is visible at the right edge. A young man with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a red-trimmed orange shawl, raises one hand in greeting while holding a brass kalasha pot with green leaves. Another figure in orange carries a similar pot. Behind them, men in white dhotis and kurtas, and one in a saffron-yellow shawl, walk in a line. Red bricks are stacked on the left beside a small building.2009-08-03Outdoor construction site with raw red earth, concrete block walls and a rebar post at left. A man in an orange robe with orange turban-style head covering stands atop the block wall at left, with long hair, while people below in white dhotis and white kurtas, some with orange shawls, gather around. Several women in white saris with orange shawls stand nearby, and a woman in an orange top and red-bordered garment stands at right. Shallow metal plates or trays rest on the ground. Palm trees and a green-roofed building stand in the background under a bright sky. +1 copiesA photograph of a temple construction site in open dirt ground beneath tall coconut palms. A figure with long dark hair and a bare chest, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti, sits on a white plastic chair at the left edge, holding a long staff. Around the site, several workers in orange-saffron robes and others in white clothing dig trenches and handle concrete foundation blocks, with grey cement pillars standing in the excavated ground. A blue tarp shelter and a stone boundary wall appear in the background, along with a utility pole and cable at right.2006-12-09Outdoor ritual at a dry red-earth site beside a metal-frame shelter and tents. A freshly heaped mound of red soil is decorated with scattered yellow and orange flower petals. A shirtless man in white dhoti pours water from a brass pot onto the mound, while a man in a checked blue shirt bends forward to assist. Several people in white dhotis and shirts stand around. Three ornate umbrellas in red, gold and blue shade a group of saffron-robed sannyasis. One central figure in orange-saffron robes holds a long ceremonial staff topped with a metal finial, and another in deep orange holds a bundle near the front.
