Appearance-based candidate: a person, seated in calm devotion among the crowd.Night photograph in profile of a person wearing a large saffron-orange turban and long dark wavy hair, looking to the left against a blurred background of warm lights reflecting on water. The person wears a dark red garment at the shoulder. Appearance-based cues for a person are present (saffron turban, long hair), so this is a person in person, though identification is uncertain from appearance alone; the role is a devotee or sannyasi at a riverside gathering.2003 -World Tour Washington DC USA2003-01-01A night photograph at a riverside ghat with blurred lamp lights in the background. In the foreground, a figure seen from behind wears an orange-saffron turban and a saffron wrap draped over the shoulders, with one arm extended toward the lights over the dark water. In the foreground a person with long dark wavy hair wears a peach-coloured turban and a matching peach shawl draped over the shoulders, facing the river. Blurred points of light from lamps and street lights fill the background, with a crowd of devotees gathered along the water's edge and a few small lit diyas floating on the dark river.Close photograph of a man with long black wavy hair, wearing an orange turban and an orange-saffron shawl draped over his shoulders, his bare upper torso visible. He has a red-and-yellow tilak mark on his forehead and looks down with a calm, downcast expression. Behind him is a backdrop of dry straw or thatch. Appearance-based cues (long swept-back hair, saffron turban and shawl, ceremonial forehead marking) suggest a person, but the face is not clearly visible enough to confirm identity; the role is a sannyasi-style devotee in orange robes.2004-06-10Side profile close-up photograph of a man with long dark curly hair wearing a bright orange-saffron turban wrapped high on his head and an orange garment at the shoulders, looking downward against a plain black background.
