A shirtless man in an orange dhoti, with a rudraksha mala on his head and a long brown shawl draped over his shoulder, stands at right in profile offering a flame. He holds a lit oil lamp toward a gilded shrine niche framed by a maroon velvet curtain, banana leaves, and red and yellow flower garlands. The niche holds a gold-toned deity murti, with more marigold and rose offerings at its base and two additional lamps in the foreground. White sacred ash marks his arms and chest. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at a gold shrine.2020-11-24A bare-backed sadhu in an orange dhoti with long dark hair and a rudraksha headband stands at left, reaching with his right arm to touch a golden deity murti decorated with red roses and white and yellow marigold garlands. Banana leaves frame the golden shrine, and a dark red velvet cloth hangs behind him. Orange and yellow flower garlands are heaped at the base, with a rudraksha mala draped around his neck and wrist. Visible white ash streaks mark his arms and shoulders.2020-11-24ADIKAILASA on 1/7/20222022-01-07A photograph of a temple puja in progress. The murti has a red face, green cloth drape, a red and white garland, a gold necklace and a flower-decked headdress. A man in orange ochre robes with a bare upper body and white-painted arms stands at right, leaning in with one hand touching the murti and holding a small bowl in the other. Golden oil lamps, a brass kalasha, red hibiscus flowers, a brass tray and a striped mat fill the foreground, and a golden backdrop with ornate textiles surrounds the shrine. The man has long hair and a beard and wears a rudraksha mala.2020-06-06A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a standing man in orange saffron robes, bare-chested with a draped orange shawl, rudraksha beads and sacred ash marks on his arms, performing aarti with his palms extended toward a lit oil lamp. Before him sits a deity murti dressed in a red and gold necklace, red and pink flower garlands, a green and gold cloth and a green leaf crown, seated on a gold throne flanked by golden lions. Brass puja vessels, a kalasha and flowers sit on a yellow cloth at the front, with a dark deity image and gold-framed panels behind. The man has long hair tied up and a beard, and his face is not visible enough to confirm identity; the appearance cues are only partially distinctive, so no firm identification is made.2020-06-06
