March 17 20182018-03-17A photograph of a procession on a paved street beside a long white-and-red striped temple wall, with a crowd of onlookers and a uniformed police officer in the background. At the centre, a bearded man in a rust-brown robe and a long rudraksha mala walks with hands pressed together in prayer, with white tilaka marks on his forehead. Around him walk saffron-robed men with long bundled hair, white forehead paste and beaded malas, and a bare-chested man at right in a purple-and-white dhoti and shawl holds a tall golden staff topped with a red-tipped finial. A man at left wears white dhoti with gold border and a silver pendant. Posters are pasted on the wall behind them.2018-03-17March 17 20182018-03-17June 03 20162016-06-03A man walks barefoot along a pale paved path marked with blue lines, in front of a stone building with a spired top. He wears a rust-red sleeveless top and a rust-red dhoti with gold borders, long dreadlocked hair, a gold necklace, a rudraksha mala draped across his body, and white and red forehead markings. To his left, two young men in saffron-orange robes walk with rudraksha malas, one holding a long yellow pole and wearing a beaded headpiece. A partly visible figure in orange stands at the right edge. A large umbrella with red and black tassels is visible at the top left.2018-01-01 +1 copiesPhotograph of four men walking barefoot across a paved stone courtyard beside a tall stone temple wall with pink-painted top and carved animal figures along the roofline. In the centre, a man with long swept-back hair wears an orange dhoti and kurta with a gold border and a heavy gold-bead necklace, hands folded at his chest. Beside him on the left, an older man with glasses and a short beard wears orange robes and carries an orange cloth. Behind them, two bald men in white dhotis with gold borders walk; one carries a pink object. The swami-like central figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone, so this is a visual match only.2011-09-09May 31 20122012-05-31Several men walk down a stone-walled temple passage with pillars on the right, carrying a ceremonial staff. Around him, men in saffron-orange robes, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and gold pendants walk beside others in white dhotis and shirts, one holding a staff with a red cloth. A bald man on the left wears an orange shawl, and the surrounding crowd moves along the ceremonial procession route toward the temple.2011-12-20March 11 20182018-03-11Photograph of a procession on a paved path with a man at centre walking barefoot in a rust-red saffron wrap and tunic, a long rudraksha mala across his chest and rudraksha bands on his arms, smiling with a white-marked forehead and a red bindi. Around him, saffron-clad young men in orange dhotis and rudraksha malas walk in step; one on the right carries a tall gold-tipped staff and another behind holds a camera. Trees and a red-tiled walkway form the setting. Swamiji (probable): the central man wears long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and ceremonial dress, consistent with the page's mention of a visit to Tiruchendur temple.2018-03-17 +1 copiesOutdoor photograph of a walking procession through a narrow courtyard lane beside whitewashed temple-style walls and a wooden gate. In the centre, a man in orange and gold-bordered saffron dhoti and shawl, with a long rudraksha mala, a gold-coloured necklace, a red headband and a red forehead mark, walks with his hands clasped and eyes lowered. Two monks in orange robes and rudraksha malas walk beside him, one holding an orange cloth. Men in white and cream shirts and trousers follow barefoot behind them, and a uniformed official walks in the background.2012-05-31November 05 20132013-11-05
