November 27 20112011-11-27November 27 20112011-11-27A man stands in profile on a dirt path beside a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. He wears a magenta-pink cloth draped over one shoulder and wrapped at the waist with a gold-bordered belt, and a long necklace of rudraksha beads with small white beads. He has a red bindi and white tilak on his forehead, a copper-coloured band on his upper arm, and orange beaded bracelets on his wrists. His hands are folded in front of him and he gazes to the side. Behind him is a blurred orange building and greenery.2011-10-25A photo of a bare-shouldered man standing outdoors before a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots, with a low stone wall and reddish earth in the foreground. He wears a deep maroon draped cloth with a pale edge, a heavy multi-strand gold necklace, gold armlets and a gold bracelet. His palms are pressed together at his chest and he has a red bindi on his forehead. Scattered leaves lie on the ground. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), based on the long swept-back hair, ceremonial gold necklaces and ornate maroon dress, standing in a devotional posture.2011-11-28 +1 copiesMarch 13 20132013-03-13A standing man in a red sannyasi-style wrap with a gold-bordered edge stands barefoot on a dark paved path before a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. He wears a dark rudraksha mala draped across his chest, has a white vibhuti line and red kumkum on his forehead, and his hair is tied up. His hands are clasped at his waist and he looks off to the side. Behind him are low stone steps and a raised stone ledge, with reddish earth on the ground.2011-09-04 +1 copiesMarch 13 20132013-03-13A photograph of a single standing man in front of a large banyan tree with dense hanging aerial roots. He wears a saffron-orange draped garment with a gold-bordered hem, gold-toned beaded necklaces across his chest, and beaded bangles on his wrists. His long dark hair falls past his shoulders, he has a red-and-white tilak on his forehead, and his hands are pressed together at his chest in an anjali gesture. A low concrete wall and sandy ground lie in the foreground. The appearance is consistent with the Swamiji cues of long hair, saffron clothing and ornate necklaces, so this is a probable candidate, present in person.2011-12-05April 22 20132013-04-22A man with eyes closed and a gentle smile leans against a tree trunk among green foliage. He wears a saffron-orange cloth draped over his shoulder, multiple strands of rudraksha beads, a gold pendant necklace and a rudraksha bracelet on his upper arm. A white horizontal forehead marking with a red dot is visible. Vines climb the pale tree trunk behind him.2012-10-06September 16 20112011-09-16A photograph of a bare-chested man standing outdoors before a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots, with a low stone wall and reddish earth below.
