A standing figure in an orange-saffron robe holds up a lit torch or lamp near a microphone stand, while a person in white sits on the left edge. On the right, a garlanded altar displays a framed portrait with flower garlands and brass lamps; the portrait is a printed image, not a physical person. Dense haze fills the room, and a wall fan stands nearby. Ritual fire offering.2007-09-30A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a draped orange head covering and a white tilak on his forehead performs a homa at a fire pit on a tiered white platform garlanded with yellow marigolds and red flowers. A rudraksha mala hangs at his chest, and a microphone stands at his side. Behind him, a white-draped chair sits in a dim hall. To the right, a tall brass lamp stand wrapped in yellow flower garlands rises beside a brass kalasha. A second person in white sits partly visible behind him. The fire burns brightly in the centre, with offering bowls on the platform. The scene reads as a homa or yagna ceremony. The man in saffron appears to be a person, with orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a head covering, seated centrally at the fire.2007-09-30September 30 20072007-09-30December 11 20152015-12-11 +1 copiesA bare-chested man with long hair and a full beard stands beside a fire pit in a homa-style ritual at night. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti and a wrap of the same colour, a red rudraksha-style mala, a large ornate pendant, and a wristwatch, and holds a small cup over the flames while speaking into a handheld microphone. The fire pit is lined with orange marigold garlands and bricks, with smoke rising around him. Two seated men in the background watch, one in a yellow shirt and glasses, and a brass bowl sits near the fire. a person cues: long swept hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha mala with ceremonial pendant, presiding over the homa as a ritual leader.2015-12-11 +1 copiesDecember 25 20072007-12-25Photograph of a homa at night under a decorated tent with hanging green leaves and red fabric. A standing priest in saffron-orange robes with maroon borders pours liquid from a silver vessel over a dark fire pit strewn with yellow flowers, with smoke rising. Several seated devotees in orange clothing sit at the pit, one woman with her palms joined. A framed portrait on the left shows a figure in orange robes and a beaded necklace, labelled as a printed portrait rather than a person present. Other people sit in the background, and a brass bowl and ladle rest on the platform.2009-10-17A standing figure in saffron-orange robes with a hooded drape and a gold-beaded necklace holds a lit multi-wick brass aarti lamp in one hand and a small bell in the other during an evening ritual. Smoke fills the air, and a fire pit sits in front of him edged with yellow marigold petals, with silver and brass vessels and offerings on a tray. Seated devotees in white clothes with yellow shawls press their palms together, and one wears a rudraksha mala. Green palm fronds hang overhead. The lamp flame and aarti gesture suggest an aarti performed during a homa.2009-09-25
