A photograph taken at night on a stone staircase leading down through a temple-style passage, with metal railings and a tin-roofed walkway behind. In the foreground, a figure in a saffron-orange shawl and orange dhoti stands on a step with one arm raised, holding a slender metal staff or trident-like rod aloft. The figure wears a heavy gold necklace with a pendant, has long dark hair swept back, and bears a white and red forehead mark. Behind on the steps, a man in a white striped shirt and white trousers, and another person in orange robes, stand near a barrier. The scene suggests a pilgrimage procession moving through a temple complex.2006-01-05January 05 20062006-01-05January 05 20062006-01-05January 05 20062006-01-05June 04 20062006-06-04A barefoot procession moves across a paved courtyard at dusk in front of pink-walled temple buildings and a large tree.
