He smiles and receives a small book or envelope from an elderly man in a white kurta with a shawl, who holds a folded item and a bright yellow garland-wrapped object. Behind them a man in a white shirt with an identity badge stands at a microphone stand, and another man in white stands further back. A seated figure in a white turban and white garment with a gold border, wearing a long gold necklace, reaches out to rest a hand on the head of a man in a white shirt and trousers with a red-and-white garland, who stands with palms pressed together in greeting. Beside them a man in white bends forward at the foot of the white-draped throne-like seat, which has a red cloth and flower garland on it. Other men in white clothes stand behind on the stage and in the dark crowd at the right.
