A night photograph at a riverside ghat with blurred lamp lights in the background. In the foreground, a figure seen from behind wears an orange-saffron turban and a saffron wrap draped over the shoulders, with one arm extended toward the lights over the dark water. Below, the silhouetted heads of a crowd of devotees are visible at the bottom of the frame. The lamps across the river and the distant lit steps suggest an evening aarti setting.November 22 20052005-11-22 +1 copiesNight outdoor photo of a standing figure in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange head wrap, hands clasped at the waist, gazing upward on a striped rug before a seated audience. Seated people in white shirts sit on the floor and a man in white with glasses sits on a chair to the right; a potted plant stands in front of the figure and a woman in a teal sari and a yellow-clad person sit in the foreground. No visible rudraksha mala or ceremonial gold necklace is shown, so the appearance cues are insufficient to name the standing figure.2002-01-01A photograph taken at night in an open courtyard-style setting with banana plants behind. A man in an orange-saffron turban and orange cloth wrapped over his shoulders and body sits on the ground at left, long dark hair falling down his back, looking off to the side while seated beside a red cloth-draped seat. Around him sit devotees: a woman in a white sari with a red border holding a book, a man in white kurta at center right, another woman in white, and a man in a white shirt at right. The visible cues of the central figure (turban, orange garments, long hair) are consistent with a person presence, seated among devotees during a gathering. A red lattice window and pale green wall form the backdrop.Outdoor evening gathering under a large tree with lamps hanging from its branches. A man in flowing saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair and a red mark on his forehead stands at centre, holding a small metal bell in one hand and raising the other arm, appearing to lead a ritual. Brass plates and an offering tray with flowers sit on the floor at right.2005-12-19Night photograph of a crowd at a riverside ghat with a lit temple structure at right. A man stands centrally in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with a rudraksha mala hanging across his chest and long dark hair falling over his shoulders; he appears to be lifted above the crowd on a raised stone platform behind him. A bearded foreign man in a light shirt and several Indian men stand among the devotees in the foreground, many wearing orange clothing. Dark sky above with a faint light and wires. Swamiji (probable) appears in person, shown by the orange robes, turban, long hair and rudraksha mala, though the identification rests on appearance alone.June 21 2004 Himalayas Yatra - Gangotri, Gaurikund and Kedarnath2004-06-21September 03 20072007-09-03Night photograph at a riverside gathering with many people seated in the foreground and background, many wearing white, pastel and dark clothing and some with turbans.
