A large seated gathering of women in rust-red and saffron-bordered saris with red shawls sits cross-legged on mats in a hall with a stage backdrop showing a painted scene of a deity with flowing water. Several women in the foreground have rudraksha malas and vibhuti on their foreheads, and some hold small water bottles while leaves or plates are arranged before them. Behind them, other participants in white clothes and red shawls sit in rows, and a staff member in white walks along the back. A large screen shows a close-up of a person's eyes with a red bindi-like mark. Several have white or grey hair and rudraksha-style beads, and one wears a white vibhuti-marked forehead. In the foreground a bald man in white clothing sits with his back to the camera facing the row. Behind them, a woman in a cream and gold-bordered sari moves between steel vessels and pots on a side table, and a red curtain and large bright screen are visible at the upper right. The setting is an indoor hall, consistent with an annadan meal serving.2017-08-14July 03 20172017-07-03 +1 copiesAugust 14 20172017-08-14June 21 20172017-06-21 +1 copiesA photograph of a large hall where rows of women in saffron and rust-orange robes sit cross-legged on the floor before green leaf mats set with small white cups and food offerings. A woman in orange stands at a clear podium at the back left, and a projection screen on the left shows a portrait. Gold-painted decorative pillars and white hanging panels line the right side. Many women wear rudraksha malas and some have white tilak markings. The scene suggests a seated ritual gathering in an ashram-style hall.2016-08-02September 21 20162016-09-21
