A stainless steel thali tray holds several food servings: yellow lemon or turmeric rice garnished with curry leaves, a bowl of fried golden-brown vada or pakora fritters, and a bowl of mixed rice with carrot, beans and red rose petals on top. A small brass cup sits among the bowls and a fingertip enters from the upper right. No people are clearly visible apart from the hand, and the scene looks like a temple prasad or annadan meal.
