A dark stone deity murti of Dakshinamurthy, the form of Shiva as the guru, is adorned in an elaborate pearl armor covering the chest, arms and shoulders. A red-orange cloth wraps the head, and the figure is framed by garlands of marigolds and white jasmine in red, yellow and green tones. Gold-toned pendants and a red stone sit at the chest and arms. No physical people are visible; the image is a photograph of the deity alone in an ornate ritual setting with a dark red backdrop.2021-11-13 +1 copiesNight photograph of a decorated deity murti in a temple shrine framed by a silver arch. The figure wears a red headcloth with a white tilak, a silver necklace, and a white dhoti with a gold border, and holds a hand raised with a round silver ornament. A garland of white jasmine and red-yellow flowers drapes over the figure and down onto a white marble pedestal in front, which holds a small brass lingam and a brass kalasha-like object.
