Night photograph of a large outdoor satsang at an ashram. Hundreds of devotees in white clothes sit cross-legged on the ground in rows, facing a lit stage under a metal-roofed canopy with bright white floodlights. A long dark red carpet runs down the centre aisle between metal barriers toward the stage. Palm trees are silhouetted against the dark sky. A few people in white stand at the edges. A figure in an orange shawl sits among the devotees on the right, but no clear identification is possible from appearance alone.2016-03-07Night photograph of a large outdoor gathering at an open-air event under a white tent canopy lit by bright white and green stage lights. A dense crowd of many hundreds sits on a paved ground, mostly women in white and cream saris and shawls, some in brighter coloured saris. Behind them, a row of people in white clothing stands near the stage area, where a banner hangs on a pole. The crowd appears attentive, facing the stage. Only a small corner of the crowd is clearly visible at this distance.2016-03-07September 05 20172017-09-05Night-time outdoor satsang under a tarpaulin canopy strung with multicoloured fairy lights. A woman in a yellow and white sari sits at left, a woman in orange and white sits centre-left, and a small child in a brown outfit sits near the front. Strip lights hang from poles around the tent. No single speaker or figure is clearly identifiable as a person, so no appearance-based candidate is claimed.2017-03-11A large evening gathering under a open-sided tent with strings of multicoloured fairy lights and hanging lamps. Hundreds of women seated closely on the ground wear white saris with gold borders, many with gold necklaces and sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads. Smoke drifts in the background.2017-05-26A night-time outdoor gathering of a very large crowd, mostly women seated on the ground in rows, many in white saris with coloured borders, some in orange, red, purple and green. Bamboo fencing separates the seating area from a raised stage at the back, lit by bright floodlights on poles. A lone figure in white clothing stands near the fence line in the centre background, and other people in white stand along the far stage area. Some seated women wear white head coverings and hold small bags. The scene looks like a satsang or discourse audience listening attentively.2010-02-12A dimly lit hall with many seated devotees, mostly women, sitting cross-legged on striped mats and facing toward the front. Many wear white or cream saris and rudraksha malas; one woman in the foreground wears a white sari with a gold border and a white shawl, another in a floral white sari, and one in a red top at left. Name badges are pinned to several clothes. Men in white stand at the back of the hall beneath fluorescent lights.
