The murti wears an ornate jewelled crown, a red-orange cloth, and a striped tiger-pattern cloth. A smiling bearded man in a black turban and rust-brown robe, wearing a long pink-and-white flower garland and heavy gold chains, holds a lit oil lamp toward a dark stone Nandi bull draped in a yellow cloth and white garland. Standing beside him, a bare-chested attendant with white sacred markings on the arms offers the lamp. Behind them, saffron-robed young men play long brass horns and trumpets, and colourful painted pillars and white panelled doors line the hall. The man's appearance is consistent with the identity given on the page but not sufficiently distinctive to confirm it, so he is described by role as a priest and attendant at the lamp offering.2018-05-31 +1 copiesJune 28 20142014-06-28 +1 copiesA temple ritual inside a pillared hall with orange carpet. A central man wears a black turban, white forehead markings, a pink-and-white flower garland and heavy gold ceremonial necklaces over a saffron-brown robe, holding a small oil lamp in front of a dark stone Nandi-like sacred bull with a yellow and white cloth. To the left, bare-chested men with white body markings hold a lamp and sacred objects. Behind, saffron-robed devotees stand with folded hands beside tall painted ceremonial poles and glass cabinets. The scene reads as a puja or aarti offering; the central figure's appearance matches the page's a person reference only partially, so identity is unsure.2018-05-31 +1 copiesJune 28 20142014-06-28 +1 copiesA temple ritual photo inside a hall with a seated audience. On the left, a figure in long orange robes with long dark wavy hair bends over a dark black stone Nandi-style bull statue set in a low square basin, pouring or offering with one hand while the other rests on the bull. On the right, a person in an orange robe with red border holds a silver tray holding a brass vessel, lamp and offerings. Behind them are painted deity murtis in red and gold garments with tall crowns, and a row of coconuts is stacked at the right. A coconut and a red-and-gold kalasha sit at the basin's base. Audience members in white and orange clothing sit on the floor watching.2007-11-09
