Photograph inside a stone shrine in Varanasi. A long-haired man in an orange robe and orange shawl, with a red bindi and a thin chain necklace, stands holding a long metal rod beside a deity murti draped in orange and yellow marigold garlands. An elderly white-haired man in a brown shawl sits in the foreground looking up toward the shrine. A brass vessel, scattered rose petals, an oil lamp and carved grey stone niches surround the murti. A third man in an orange garment stands at the right edge beside a golden doorframe. A visible inscription is carved on the stone above the shrine.A photo taken in a long temple colonnade with red-painted wooden beams and pillars. A central figure with long swept-back dark hair and a tilak on his forehead wears an orange saffron robe, a yellow shawl, and a heavy garland of green leaves, pink flowers and white jasmine, carrying a gold-tipped staff. Behind him a bare-chested man wears a rudraksha mala and a young attendant in a white dhoti carries a metal plate. Several other people in orange and white walk through the crowded corridor.2009-01-15Photo taken with the image rotated sideways. A barefoot man in a flowing saffron-orange robe stands at centre holding a long wooden staff with dark banding across his chest, and he wears dark rudraksha-style beads in multiple strands across his chest. His long dark hair falls past his shoulders. Behind him stands a second person in white clothing near garlanded flower decorations and a brass lamp stand with several tiers of oil lamps. Orange and red flower garlands hang around a framed deity picture on the right. Green-blue cloth is draped over a wall at left. Probable Swamiji wears the saffron robe, rudraksha malas and long hair; the staff is held in front of him, as the robe and rudraksha cues suggest a sannyasi presence.2008-11-11Interior of a stone shrine with a deity murti or lingam covered in marigold and red flower garlands, an oil lamp burning on a pedestal to the left, and a brass bowl and scattered rose petals on a marble ledge. To the left, a seated older man in a brown shawl looks up toward him, and another person in a brown robe is partly visible behind. A brass bell hangs at the right edge beside a gold-framed doorway.
