Marigold garlands and colourful cloth draped with fringe hang along the pillars. Rows of seated people in orange and saffron robes sit on the mat, many with drums and cymbals nearby, while a drummer in orange stands at the front right beside a white horse on wheels. At the far end a golden-fringed canopy and a decorated stage frame a deity murti area under a row of trees. A man in a checked shirt operates a camera on a tripod at left, and a figure in white dhoti stands near the centre. Plants and parasols decorate the space.2018-04-14Photo of a covered pavilion with a red-and-white striped mat floor where many people are seated, mostly men in saffron-orange dhotis and matching orange turbans with white body markings, and several women in white saris. In the foreground a row of seated drummers in orange sit beside metal drums. Behind them a golden horse-shaped vahana stands at right, and a decorated canopy with a deity murti is at the far end. A large screen above the crowd shows a group of orange-clad people. Marigold garlands and framed portraits line the pavilion's pillars. No single person is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so no candidate is labelled.2018-04-14Photograph of a large covered hall with a red-and-white striped mat floor and framed pictures on the side walls. A crowd of children and young women in orange and white garments dance and move in lines through the hall. Several girls in orange saris and white dresses stand near the front, one with a long braid and a beaded necklace. Garlands of orange and green cloth hang from the pillars. An arched decoration stands at the far end of the hall beside floodlights.2018-05-22Photo 11705665December 18 20162016-12-18A photograph of a large tented ritual hall with white draped ceiling and red-trimmed edges, hanging red and gold lanterns overhead. In the foreground, many seated women in orange and saffron saris face a raised dais; their backs and long dark braids are visible. Floor mats in red, purple and striped patterns are covered with banana leaf plates of food and small cups. On the right, a gold-framed canopy with a decorative top stands above a platform where a figure in ornate red and gold garments sits, flanked by women in white and multicoloured saris holding ceremonial items. Colourful ceremonial umbrellas are arranged across the hall. A TV screen and speakers stand near the left side, and a few men in white dhotis and garlands stand at the back.2016-12-18A large tented hall with white draped ceiling and hanging lamps hosts a ritual. Many women in orange and saffron saris sit in rows on colourful striped mats in the foreground, some with hands folded. Along the stage, a seated figure in orange with a rudraksha-style garland sits before a gold-framed altar; a deity murti in a gold palanquin-style shrine is decorated with garlands. Women in white and bright saris stand to the right beside steel trays of food and leaf plates of offerings, with decorative umbrellas overhead and loudspeakers at left. The setting suggests a Maheshwara Puja style ritual with food offerings to a sannyasi.2016-12-18Outdoor ceremony under a canopy decorated with orange triangular pennants and a green-and-yellow festoon. On a raised platform draped with striped mats, a figure with long dark hair in orange robes and rudraksha beads sits with a microphone, flanked by other saffron-robed attendants, one holding a long ceremonial staff. Rows of seated devotees in white kurtas with orange and yellow shawls sit on a red carpet and mats, with many more people seated behind.
