Night photograph of a Deepavali-related ritual in warm lamplight. Four men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls stand in a row before dark foliage. On the far left, a bare-chested young man holds a lit oil lamp with a visible open flame. Next, a man with a tall topknot and a wooden tray of dark offerings stands with a rudraksha-style mala and a gold necklace. Behind him, a third man with long hair and beaded necklaces holds a bell. On the right, a man in an orange turban with gold-framed glasses, a long rudraksha mala and bare chest stands with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, a gesture of greeting and reverence. Gold-bordered orange cloth is draped over his shoulders. The scene reads as an aarti with a lamp and offerings. The a person candidate is the right-hand figure in the turban and mala, whose appearance is consistent with the page, though the identification is uncertain.2016-10-29May 20 20162016-05-20Night procession outdoors at a temple-like site.
