Low-angle photograph of three ceremonial parasols against a bright, sunlit sky, the sun glowing behind them. The left umbrella is teal-blue with a dark rim and a fringe of small sequined or beaded tassels and diamond-patterned trim; the centre one is golden-orange with a matching embroidered border; the right one is dark and partly cropped. Each has a finial on a pole. No people are visible.2016-04-22A photograph of several ceremonial parasols, or chhatris, held up outdoors at dusk during a procession. In the foreground an orange and red parasol bears a blue embroidered roundel with a white bird motif and floral border. Behind it, a magenta parasol and a navy parasol with gold scroll patterns have silver sequined fringes and finials. On the right, orange and yellow-trimmed parasols with silver finials stand against a hazy grey sky, pine trees and a brick wall. No people are clearly visible; only the umbrella canopies and their bearers' lower parts are at the edges.2017-01-13A backlit photo of a procession in harsh sunlight. Silhouetted crowds fill the lower frame, many in white clothing. Above them stand several ornate parasols with fringed edges and patterned panels, and a long fringed canopy banner hangs over the procession. A cluster of colourful balloons drifts near the canopy, and red-orange flags fly on poles at the right. The sun flares at the upper right, washing out part of the sky.2009-06-29May 09th 20162016-05-09January 13 20172017-01-13A large crowd fills a dusty street during a procession. In the foreground a red flag bears a printed portrait of a bearded man wearing a yellow turban, and it is held aloft on a pole. Behind it, several ornate umbrellas in red, purple, blue and yellow with embroidered borders and tassels are carried above the crowd, alongside more red flags. Devotees press together at the roadside, and brass instruments are visible at right. Trees and red-flowering branches frame the background. The flag portrait is a depiction on cloth and is not a physical person.2016-05-09December 31 20082008-12-31December 23 20072007-12-23May 09th 20162016-05-09January 01 20092009-01-01March 02 20162016-03-02January 22 20172017-01-22
