A photograph of a seated figure in a rust-orange robe with a long red and white flower garland and a gold-coloured necklace, placing a hand on the forehead of a standing man in a white shirt with an orange shawl, who has his palms pressed together in namaste. Behind them, several women in orange and saffron saris and white garments with orange sashes watch, some smiling, and a tray of sweets sits in the lower left. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair and is a person by appearance cues: long hair, saffron robe, rudraksha-style garland and gold necklace, performing a blessing for a devotee.2013-05-28August 23 20152015-08-23A seated man in saffron-and-maroon robes with a gold-toned sash and a long rudraksha-style bead necklace, a white tilak on his forehead, extends his right arm to touch the forehead of a standing man in a white kurta with an orange-red shawl. The standing man's palms are pressed together in a respectful gesture. Behind them, a woman in white stands near ornate gold carvings, brass oil lamps and a lattice panel. A red-upholstered seat and a red-patterned cushion are visible at left, and a fan stands at right.2015-08-23September 28 20132013-09-28A photograph of a diksha-style blessing in an indoor hall. A man with a shaved head and a tilak mark on his forehead wears a crimson and gold robe, rudraksha mala beads and gold bangles, and reaches forward with his right arm extended, palm open toward the head of a seated devotee. The devotee, in a white shirt with short dark hair, bows forward with his hands raised to his head to receive the blessing. Behind them a seated woman in white with a dark beaded mala watches calmly, and a partially visible man in white sits at the right edge. A brocade-patterned wall and a projection screen stand in the background, and a gold object is visible at the lower left. The blessing figure has a tilak and no clearly distinctive long hair or crown, so identity is uncertain.2014-01-05June 21 20152015-06-21 +1 copiesA seated man in a red-orange robe with a gold-and-beaded rudraksha-style necklace sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, smiling as he applies a red tilak mark to the forehead of an elderly white-haired man in white kurta with an orange shawl. The elderly man holds a small stick. Behind them a bald man with a red mark on his forehead, wearing a saffron-orange shawl and beaded necklace, sits on the floor, and a camera operator with a tripod stands in the background. A gold peacock-like finial rests on a table. Swamiji (probable) is the seated man on the throne, identified by the ornate gold throne, long swept-back hair, ceremonial beads and orange robe; he is applying tilak to the elderly devotee.2015-07-19A photograph of a long-haired man with a white tilak on his forehead, bare-chested and draped in an orange-red shawl with a multi-strand rudraksha mala, placing his right palm on the forehead of an older white-haired man in white clothes and a red-orange shawl. Behind them a framed portrait shows a figure in orange robes and turban beside a gilded frame, and a seated woman in white and red shawl watches. Several other seated people in white and red shawls sit in the background, with a gold-coloured vessel at lower left. Probable Swamiji (probable): the long swept-back hair, bare upper body, rudraksha mala and orange-red drape of the man giving the blessing match the qualifying cues, and the scene suggests a blessing or initiation gesture.2014-03-09May 28 20132013-05-28A seated figure with long dark hair pulled back wears an orange-brown draped garment, a long red bead garland with gold accents, and bangles, and places a hand on the forehead of a man in a white shirt with an orange shawl who has his palms pressed together in respectful greeting. Behind them, several women in orange and white garments and red and gold scarves look on in an indoor hall, with a fan and a wall-mounted unit visible at the left.2013-05-28A photograph of a seated figure in an orange-red and gold dhoti-style garment with a long rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, his face marked with white vibhuti on the forehead, extending his right hand to bless the bowed head of an older man in a white short-sleeved shirt who holds his palms together in reverence. Behind them stand gold pillars, red and purple draped fabric and a red floral arrangement; a woman with a white-marked forehead watches at lower right and another man with folded hands stands at upper right. The bowing man receives the blessing with his head lowered. Four people are visible.2013-09-28September 20 20152015-09-20
