A fire burns in a square fire pit on a golden platform in front of an ornate tiered shrine decorated with flowers and small figures. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand behind the fire, one bare-chested priest in a maroon cloth reaches toward the flames, and a seated man in white and orange sits near the fire. Trays of offerings and brass vessels rest on a striped mat at lower left. Seated devotees in white and orange clothing, including a woman in a white veil, face the fire from the front. On the right, a figure with a garland sits on a red-cushioned golden throne under a fringed canopy, while a woman in a red sari sits beside him.2017-04-28August 31 20152015-08-31February 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copiesAugust 31 20152015-08-31Night-time fire ritual under an open-sided metal-roofed pavilion, with smoke rising at left and strings of small coloured lights overhead.
