Swamiji tells us that human body is created to achieve four major aspects - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. He tells us that having clarity about Jagat (World), Jeva (Self) and Eshwara (God) results in the psychological revolution in us. In this clip Shiva gives a beautiful technique to use the senses which, by it's own nature is going out, and use them to turn inwards. He also goes on to tell us that unless we realize Deity IS god, worship through idol is possible, otherwise only idol worship happens. Swamiji narrates the beautiful incident in Gujarat during his wandering days where he had the darshan of Krishna through a devout old lady who as the embodiment of worship through the idol.

Using Love as a Gateway to Higher Consciousness

Swamiji tells us that when you look at a person with lust you always look for what you can get from that person, whereas if you look at a person with love you will always look to see what you can add to that person. In this clip he gives us a beautiful technique to use love as a gateway to higher consciousness. With love, a person is a spirit, with lust the person is reduced to an object. Swamiji sheds light on the meaning of love through various heartwarming small stories.

Catch the Mind - The Middle Path: Discourse & Meditation

Description:

In this sutra Shiva tells us not to put attention on pain or pleasure but in the space between these. This is a nithya sutra and can be experienced through mere understanding of the sutra. This is yet another technique Shiva uses to throw us back to our center. In this clip Swamiji also takes us through a simple yet powerful meditation technique to experience our Self through the middle path.
