Translation

Doing the kārmukāsana contract the stomach and fill it up easily with breath; Then in due course the subtle vital breath comes under control. (23.36)

After doing padmāsana the one who has perfected the mantras, should take the right hand around the back and hold the toe of the left foot, and repeat it the same way by taking the left hand backwards and holding the toe of the right foot. (23.37)

The number of āsnas get doubled by left and right method in karmukāsana too; With the aid of dual karmukāsanas, take the breath straight in like an arrow. (23.38)

Steps/Technique

1. Put the right foot over left thigh and left foot over right thigh. 2. Cross the arms behind the back 3. Firmly catch hold of the toes with the respective hands.
