Title

Dissolve Your Sins In Devotion

Description

In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, chapter 5, verse 25, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) describes the overwhelming power of bhakti. When a profound experience of Advaitha, of Oneness with God, floods our inner space it completely washes away our old patterns and habits. Paramahamsa calls this intense encounter a "'spiritual tsunami", and counsels us to surrender to it at every opportunity.

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Bhagavad Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that even today it is used as a personal transformation guide.

Nithyananda on Oprah Winfrey

Description

n today's morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda responds to a report that Oprah Winfrey has criticized people for eating with their fingers instead of using forks and spoons. Nithyananda points out that in the Vedic tradition, cutlery was not used on food for spiritual reasons, rather than because the culture was "primitive". Eating should involve all the senses to be a fully nourishing experience. When only the mouth and stomach are involved, we do not digest completely. When we first see our food, smell it, touch it with our skin, then taste and hear the sound of chewing, the entire body embraces it as nutrition. Nithyananda courteously invites Oprah to try this food meditation for herself.
