Kodikkan Ratha Yatra || Tamilnadu and Karnataka, India || September to November 2006

Narration

On 24 Sep 2006, The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) performed a historic flagging off of the procession of the deities of Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva and Nithyanandeshwari Parashakti at Tiruvannamalai in Tamilnadu, South India. The deities were flagged off in a ratha - chariot, amidst great celebration. The procession was called Kodikkan Ratha Yatra, meaning the journey that will offer darshan to a 100 crore eyes. The SPH's Vision and Divine mandate was that the deities will offer darshan to 1 crore eyes before being enshrined in ADI KAILASA, Bengaluru, India. Duly, the Sanyasis of KAILASA's Nithyananda Order took the deities around day and night throughout Tamilnadu and parts of Karnataka, thronged by devotees wherever they went.
