On 31 December 1999, Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Jagadguru Mahasannidhanam His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam (HDH) had a Divine revelation of the Avatāric Mission, on the banks of the sacred river Narmada in Omkareshwar in Central India. After this, HDH returned to Tiruvannamalai, His birthplace to offer gratitude to Paramaśiva (presiding Divinity of Tiruvannamalai) who is in the three-fold form - 1) form of the sacred Hill Arunācala, 2) form of the sacred Shiva Linga - Arunācaleśvara in the Arunācaleśvara temple, and 3) form of a Living Incarnation, who is none other than The Avatār Himself, His predecessor being the great Yogi Ramsuratkumar. From Tiruvannamalai, He went to other places in South India and returned to Tiruvannamalai the same year several times. This series of photographs is the first available pictures of HDH in Tiruvannamalai taken after the Realisation of The Avatāric Mission.

Memories from year 2000 (when His Divine Holiness was 22 years of age)
Deepak, Grandson of Guru Mata Vibhutananda Puri (Guru with whom His Divine Holness explored the Science of Vedanta, Tantra and Sri Vidya) describes his visits to Acharapakkam to be with HDH in the year 2000. Deepak was one of the blessed devotees to live around HDH from a very young age . Acharapakkam days mark the first 'Great Pause' His Divine Holiness went through as willed by the Cosmos. During this the Great Pause, HDH was in an intense state of samadhi (higher state of consciousness). At this time, HDH could hardly meet people or speak due to the intensity of the state which He was in. The body of HDH was undergoing an intense assertion process before starting to radiate the energy of initiation forever to humanity.
