Ashtanga Yoga: Yama 2 - Patanjali Yoga Sutras 81 - Nithyananda Morning Satsang 13 Dec 2010
Description:
Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Living Enlightened Master & Rare Avatar, continues the "Hidden Truths about Laws of Life" today from Patanjali Yoga Sutras - 81, chapter 2.30 verse. If you missed the first part, please watch the Dec 12th message.
Reminding us about the deeper truths on Yama (law), Nithyananda expressed that, "Yama is not just the law, it is the energy that makes the law into reality. Law and law enforcement energy are called Yama. When you realize the source of Yama, you need not practice. It will happen in you."
How can it happen in us? Swamiji explained with the ultimate technique, "You are supposed to work for Enlightenment. You are supposed to unclutch. When you unclutch, this is the way your expression will happen. Like a breeze you are untouched. This great vrata (vows) or these 5 great expressions will be just your quality -- it will be just flowing through you."
He then dealt with each of the 5 Yama - Satya, Ahimsa, Asteya, Brahmacharya, and Aparigraha.
Beautifully, narrating Brahmacharya, He shared, "When you become Brahman, the way of life you live becomes Brahmacharya. Brahmacharya means living like God. Brahmacharya is not like pride, it is such ecstasy and freedom. Whether anyone accepts or not, I am enjoying the benefits, joy, and ecstasy of brahmacharya! So it is a wealth, a luxury. Without depending on another body to give pleasure, just your own inner spiritual being."
Then, speaking about ecstasy and joy these great truths bring by just their very remembrance, Smarana Maatrena, Swamiji declared the truth of his state. He said, "I can honestly tell my heart to give refuge to the whole world - Abhayam Sarva Bhutebhyo. Not just intellectually but experientially".
Coming to Aparigrahah - Living with minimal things is one the greatest wealth's you can acquire because your body and mind are accustomed to live wherever you want. It is great freedom.
He concluded the message with His blessings for all to experiences these 5 Yama. The 5 laws (Yama) - the truth (Satya), living like God (Brahmacharya), being non-greedy and living with minimal things (aparigraha) and non-stealing and non-violence (ahimsa) are some of the greatest wealth and bring joy and ecstasy.

Ashtanga Yoga: Yama 2 - Patanjali Yoga Sutras 81 - Nithyananda Morning Satsang 13 Dec 2010
Transcription
December 13, 2010 Prayer. Welcome. Today’s subject for morning satsang is Ahimsa satya asteya brahmacharya aparigraaha yamaaha Vivek: Non-killing, truthfulness, non-stealing, continence and non-receiving are called yama Satchit: Prabhavan: yama is obstension from harming others, from falsehood, theft, incontinence, greed. We need to understand Yama first. As I said yesterday, yama is not just the law the energy which makes the law into reality. Law and law enforcement energy both are called yama. When you realize the source of yama, you need not practice. It will happen in you. pl understand you are supposed to work for enlightenment. You are supposed to unclutch. When you unclutch this is the way your expression will happen. Like a breeze you are untouched. These great vrataas or these 5 great expressions will be just your quality – it will be just flowing through you. when a man does not have any thought during the breathing, his whole breathing is pure praana energy – no thought. That is why he can blow away people. It is pure energy. That is why any word which comes out that air directly gives you the energy and experience. During the deep process you do nothing you do except my energy. I just use words. But they are so powerful, your very being shakes. Sometimes it comes out in the form of words or formless air. But whatever way it starts working and creating energy in you. when you become praana, anything that flows through you becomes praana. When you become Brahman, the way of life you live becomes brahmacharya. Brahmacharya means living like God. Bramhacharya is not like a pride and great thing, it is such an ecstasy and freedom. Whether anyone accepts or not, I am enjoying the benefits, joy and ecstasy of brahmacharya! So brahmacharya is not a vow or ordinary vrata. It is a wealth. It is a luxury. It is an extraordinary ecstasy. Brahmacharya is an extraordinary inner experience – freedom from the other person, freedom from the partner. Without depending on another body to give pleasure, just your own inner spiritual being. The divya sareerees who sit around me, they said when they get into the kundalini energy it is so intense ecstasy that only after this experience should get into Brahmacharya. Smarana maatrena – just by remembrance the bliss! the ecstasy and bliss of every law here patanjali describes as Brahmacharya or non-violence. Non-violence is such a joy. It is such an ecstasy. I can honestly tell my heart ‘abhayam sarva bhoodebyo’ I can give refuge to the whole world. Not just intellectually but experientially! Somehow in my heart the non-violence is residing as wealth. It is there in me as wealth. These great vrataas are not just vows, they are rules to be followed, laws to be executed. They are wealth to be enjoyed. Brahmacharya – celibacy – this is too poor a word – living like God is the right word – it is a wealth to be enjoyed and such big freedom! Brahmacharya is not just a moral code. It is not just a law, it is a wealth. Brahmacharya is a wealth. Non-violence is a wealth. Aparigaha is a wealth. Aparigraha means living with minimal things. I am talking about aparigraha sitting in a throne. Because even without the throne I can still be strongly blissful. Then you may think why the throne. This will add status to the great ideas I am representing. If it is for me then without this I am not able express what I am radiating. NO. I can sit on an ordinary floor and express what I am expressing verbally or through energy. In ordinary human eyes there are some things which add value to what is represented. That is why in Hindu tradition we put so much of Gold and valuable items. This Ambani’s house is not just a concept it is a statement to the world – if you work hard, you can live like me. I am giving a statement to the world the ideaology which I represent, is fit to be said sitting in a throne. Anybody in the Ashram who does the job of sharing to the world through eNsatsangs sits in the same throne. The throne and the kandi is given for the truths which is represented. Aparigraha means non-violence, non-stealing. These great qualities are great wealth. I tell you really because the non-greedy the aparigraha vow was part of my life, embodiment of my life, I did not get affected by the scandal. Fortunately, the aparigraha living with minimal things became a part of my bio memory. Living with minimal things is one of the great wealth you acquire because your body and mind is accustomed to live wherever you want, it is a great freedom. Satya asteya aparigraha ahimsa brahmacharya. Pl understand – The truth, living like God, being non-greedy, living with minimal things and non-stealing and non-violence these are some of the greatest wealths. If you think it is a moral quotes, you have a wrong understanding. Just understand it is a wealth. Understand the whole thing from the right angle. All these great things are wealth, not just ordinary moral quotes. That is why because living in minimal things even when all these things were taken away from me, I was blissful. Because I am established in these vows, even in an ordinary chair I am able to radiate bliss. Living with minimal things brings a tremendous freedom with body and mind. Living like God makes you experience God. When you have violence on somebody it is you have violence inside you. it will first burn you. having violence towards somebody is wasting your life. Because at the end you will realize you wasted your whole life, you have wasted your time and energy in disturbing someone else’s life. That is the punishment for being violent and trying to disturb other’s life. So understand the truth of non-violence, ahimsa, non-stealing, living with minimal things, brahmacharya – living like God. Understanding truth of all these things is satya. Talking only about facts is one dimension of satya. But understanding all these properly is satya. Understanding the truths of life is satya. Your whole body, mind and everything being in tune is satya. I bless all of you to have these great 5 wealths – ahimsa, satya, asteya, Brahmacharya , aparigraha and experience them. Blessings!
