KAILASA's Department of Information Broadcasting, in collaboration with SHRIKAILASA Uniting Nations for Peacekeeping, aimed at eradicating violence and promoting peace, telecasted the Mattu Pongal Celebrations conducted by The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam. Mattu Pongal is the day when the first harvest of the season is offered to cows, and bulls. Cows are the fulcrum of the Vedic tradition and are revered and worshipped for their role in providing sacred items like milk, ghee, and bulls for helping in ploughing the land for agriculture.
