Original Verse：

"अपानं कटिदेशस्य पृष्ठ-भागे विधारयेत्

सदा चेत् कुम्भकस्-तज्-जिन्-मृग इत्युच्यते बुधैः ॥ ५६ ॥"

Transliteration：

"apānaṃ kaṭideśasya pṛṣṭha-bhāge vidhārayet

sadā cet Kumbhakas-taj-jin-mṛga ityucyate budhaiḥ ॥ 56 ॥"

Translation：

"According to the learned, when apana is continuously held in the back of the hip region, it is known as Mrga-Kumbhaka."
