Original Verse
"उत्तानं शयनं कृत्वा अङ्गुलिभिः कन्धराण्बध्वा कूर्परौ मीलित्वा नितम्बेन भूमिं स्पृष्ट्वा एकं पादं प्रसार्य एकैकेन पादेन सव्यदक्षिणं भ्रामयित्वा वृषपादक्षेपः भवति ॥१॥"
Transliteration
"uttānaṃ śayanaṃ kṛtvā aṅgulibhiḥ kandharāṇbadhvā kūrparau mīlitvā nitambena bhūmiṃ spṛṣṭvā ekaṃ pādaṃ prasārya ekaikena pādena savyadakṣiṇaṃ bhrāmayitvā vṛṣapādakṣepaḥ bhavati ॥1॥"
Translation
Lying supine hold the shoulders with the fingers, unite two elbows and touching the ground with buttocks extend one foot (alternatively either left or right) and move leftwards and rightwards. This is how Brsapadaksepa asana is performed. (and do the same with another foot). 1.
Steps/Technique
1.Lie down and hold the shoulders with the fingers.
2.Unite the two elbows.
3.Extend one leg while bringing the other knee to the elbows.
4.Alternate the leg movement, left and right."
