Original Verse : "योगी पद्मासने तिष्ठेत्कण्ठकूपे यदा स्मरन् । जिह्वां कृत्वा तालुमूले क्षुत्पिपासा निवर्तते ॥ ४३ ॥"

Transliteration

"yogī padmāsane tiṣṭhetkaṇṭhakūpe yadā smaran । jihvāṃ kṛtvā tālumūle kṣutpipāsā nivartate ॥ 43 ॥"

Translation

Let the Yogi seat himself in the Padmasana, and fix his attention on the cavity of the throat, let him place his tongue at the base of the palate; by this he will extinguish hunger and thirst.
