Visit of Sri Kamalatmananda Swami to Nithyananda Janma Bhumi and Arunachaleswarar Temple
The sacred grounds of Nithyananda Janma Bhumi (NJB) in Tiruvannamalai welcomed Sri Kamalatmananda Swami at approximately 5:00 PM on March 11, 2026. The revered monk was accompanied by his two assistants, Arkaprabhananda Maharaj and Matrusevananda Maharaj. Upon their arrival at the birthplace of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, they were received with the highest honors by the monastic members of KAILASA. Ma Bhaktivaysa, Ma Dayamayi, and Ma Shudatama offered flower malas and a traditional Purnakumbha, a sacred Hindu gesture of respect and auspicious welcome for realized souls and monastic leaders. Supported by 4 dedicated volunteers, the reception set a tone of deep spiritual brotherhood and mutual honor within the Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
During the visit, Sri Kamalatmananda Swami was seated near the Murthy of THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, where he engaged in a peaceful and enriching interaction with the devotees and monastics present. Swami shared nostalgic memories of his long-standing connection with THE SPH’s family, noting that he had visited NJB during the lifetime of THE SPH’s father. In a touching reflection on the divine bond between them, Swami recalled how THE SPH had personally contacted him upon the passing of His father. He also remarked with great fondness that he remembered THE SPH as a young seeker of only nineteen years of age, highlighting the early spiritual spark that has today blossomed into a global movement for the revival of Hindu civilization.
The interaction further delved into the depths of Hindu sciences and monastic training. The Swami’s assistants expressed keen interest in the teachings of THE SPH and the primary scriptures of the tradition. The KAILASA monastics provided a comprehensive overview of the spiritual technologies and literary treasures gifted by THE SPH, specifically mentioning the transformative works Living Enlightenment, the Bhagavad Gita Decoded series, and His profound commentaries on the Shiva Sutras and Patanjali Yoga Sutras. Sri Kamalatmananda Swami noted that he already possesses the complete Tamil volumes of the Bhagavad Gita commentaries by THE SPH, which he maintains in his collection. The discussion also touched upon the rigorous training for Sannyas in both traditions, fostering a spirit of mutual learning and civilizational preservation.
Following the enriching session at NJB, the group proceeded to the ancient and sacred Arunachaleswarar Temple for Darshan. The visit was meticulously coordinated to ensure a seamless spiritual experience. The group was escorted into the Garbha Mandir, where they were blessed with a private Arati and direct Darshan of Lord Arunachaleswarar, the manifestation of Paramashiva as the element of fire. They further received private Arati and Darshan at the Parashakti Amman shrine, connecting with the divine feminine consciousness. The visit concluded with the presentation of temple Prasadam to the Swami. Both Sri Kamalatmananda Swami and his assistants expressed their immense happiness and gratitude for the beautiful Darshans and the opportunity to visit the sacred birthplace of THE SPH, marking another milestone in KAILASA’s mission of human consciousness awakening and the global revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
