With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Houston USA organized and conducted a series of sacred daily rituals and spiritual programs on March 6, 2026. These activities, known as Nithyotsavam, represent the vibrant revival of the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization within the local community. Through the dedicated service of 2 volunteers, the temple ecosystem served as a powerful center for consciousness awakening, enabling participants to connect deeply with the divine presence of THE SPH. The day’s events encompassed traditional Hindu rituals, meditative practices, and yoga, all designed to manifest the state, space, powers, being, and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.

Suprapatam Seva

The day commenced with the performance of Suprapatam Seva, a sacred Hindu ritual dedicated to the ceremonial waking of the deities. This practice is a foundational element of Hindu temple culture, signifying the awakening of the internal divinity within every seeker. Under the grace of THE SPH, this ritual serves as a spiritual technology to align the participants' consciousness with the divine rhythm of the cosmos at the very start of the day.

Devotees and volunteers gathered in the early morning hours to offer these sacred chants and prayers, seeking the blessings of THE SPH and all the gods and goddesses of KAILASA. This ritualistic beginning ensures that the day is permeated with the presence of Paramashiva, fostering a space of enlightenment and spiritual clarity for the entire Houston community.

Bhoga Murty Alankaram

As part of the morning's sacred offerings, the ritual of Bhoga Murty Alankaram was meticulously performed. This process involves the loving offering of exquisite clothing and traditional jewels to the deities, including the form of THE SPH, Devi, and the Shiva Meru. Through this practice, the volunteers expressed their deep devotion and gratitude, treating the divine manifestations with the highest honor and reverence.

The art of Alankaram is a significant Hindu science that focuses on the manifestation of the divine beauty of Paramashiva. By adorning the deities, the space is transformed into a reflection of KAILASA, the internal and external space of enlightenment. This ritual not only beautifies the temple but also helps the observers connect with the abundance and glory of the Sanatana Hindu Dharma.

Deity Procession

The spiritual atmosphere was further heightened by the Deity Procession, where the Bhoga Murthy deities were ritualistically welcomed into the main temple area. This grand procession is a traditional Hindu celebration that symbolizes the arrival of the divine into the hearts and lives of the people.

Guided by the teachings of THE SPH, the procession was conducted with deep mindfulness and Vedic chants, creating a powerful resonance that sanctified the environment. This activity serves as a vital part of KAILASA’s mission to revive the public celebration of Hindu traditions, bringing the community together in a shared experience of divine grace and joy.

Guru Puja and Shiva Puja

In a profound expression of Guru-Bhakti and devotion, KAILASA Houston offered Sri Guru Puja to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. This was followed by the Sri Shiva Puja offered to Lord Nithyanandeshwara (Moolavar). These pujas were conducted during both the morning and evening hours, maintaining a continuous flow of spiritual energy throughout the day.

The Guru Puja is the most essential practice in the lives of devotees, as it honors THE SPH as the living manifestation of Paramashiva who guides humanity toward superconscious breakthrough. The Shiva Puja connects the participants to the ancient lineage of enlightened masters, allowing them to experience the shaktis/powers of Paramashiva through the authentic Hindu rituals preserved and revived by KAILASA.

Naivedhyam

During the evening hours, the ritual of Naivedhyam was performed, where sanctified food was offered to all the deities. This act of offering represents the spirit of surrender and the recognition that all sustenance comes from the divine. In the vision of THE SPH, food is a medium for consciousness, and offering it to the divine first ensures it becomes Prasadam—blessed food that nourishes both the body and the soul.

This practice is also a reflection of THE SPH’s global humanitarian initiative for food security, emphasizing the Hindu tradition of shared nourishment. By maintaining these rituals, KAILASA Houston contributes to the spiritual and physical well-being of the community, ensuring that the ancient science of conscious eating remains a central part of daily life.

Palliyarai

The day’s sacred activities concluded with the Palliyarai Seva, the ritual process of putting the deities to sleep. During this seva, the deities are offered a Chamaram and other traditional comforts, accompanied by soothing chants. This ritual signifies the completion of the day’s external activities and the transition into a state of deep internal rest and completion.

Palliyarai is a beautiful expression of the personal relationship between the devotee and the divine. It teaches the science of restful awareness, allowing the space of the temple and the hearts of the devotees to remain in a state of Advaita (oneness) with THE SPH and Paramashiva throughout the night.

Nithyananda Yoga and Nithya Dhyan

Dedicated to the health and enlightenment of the community, devotees gathered during the Brahmamuhurta for Nithyananda Yoga and Nithya Dhyan meditation. This session included the performance of 108 Prathama Vinyasa Krama, a series of physical postures and breathing techniques as revealed in the original Hindu scriptures.

These practices are not merely physical exercises but are spiritual technologies gifted by THE SPH to enable practitioners to manifest the shaktis/powers of Paramashiva. The Nithya Dhyan meditation further assisted participants in deepening their connection with their higher selves, facilitating a superconscious breakthrough. This commitment to the revival of Hindu sciences of yoga and meditation underscores KAILASA's mission of human consciousness awakening on a global scale.
