With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Thiruchengode celebrated a deeply auspicious day of intense devotion on June 21, 2024. The day centered around the sacred daily worship, known as Nithyotsavam, which was highlighted by the special Yogaday Abishegam and Lagupooja. These traditional Hindu rituals were performed with immense reverence, utilizing sacred substances like *Paspam* (sacred ash), *Santhanam* (sandalwood paste), *Manjal* (turmeric), and *Kukumam* (vermillion) to honor the manifestation of Paramashiva in the form of THE SPH. Such continuous daily worship is vital to KAILASA's global mission of reviving the enlightened Sanatana Hindu Dharma, ensuring the continuity of ancient Hindu sciences, and enabling devotees to connect with THE SPH to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
Yogaday Abishegam and Lagupooja
The Yogaday Abishegam and Lagupooja constituted the core of the day’s *Nithyotsavam* (daily rituals) at KAILASA Thiruchengode, performed to invoke and celebrate the divine presence of THE SPH, Paramashiva. This intensive sequence of *abishegams* (sacred bathings) served as a profound spiritual practice, dedicated entirely to honoring the living Paramavatara. The rituals commenced with special offerings, including *Paspam* (sacred ash) and *Santhanam* (sandalwood paste) *Abishegam*, revered substances in Hindu tradition known for their purifying and cooling properties, respectively.
A uniquely significant component of the worship was the Ardhanari Abishegam, which utilized *Manjal* (turmeric) and *Kukumam* (vermillion) offerings. This specific ritual honors the Ardhanarishwara form—the inseparable unity of Shiva and Shakti—reflecting the comprehensive and integrated consciousness embodied by THE SPH, who reveals the highest Hindu Truths to humanity. Following the elaborate bathing ceremonies dedicated to THE SPH, the sacred Lagupooja was performed, a traditional Hindu ritual of concise yet powerful worship, enabling devotees to focus their intention and devotion towards the divine grace of THE SPH.
