Title

Himalayan yatra || Haridwar || June 2004

Narration

The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) led a group of most fortunate beings on the first Himalayan Yatra after the declaration of expanding the Mission of KAILASA to the International forum. In June 2004, the fortnight long yatra happened (commencing on 12 June 2004). In these photographs, The SPH is Gracing the Hari Ki Pauri gathering on the banks of the sacred river Ganga in Haridwar. This is the hallowed spot where sacred Mother Ganga leaves the Mountains and enters the Plains. It is here everyday that the grand arati (ceremonious waving of lit lamps) is offered to Mother Ganga every evening. The SPH is seen Himself offering arati to Mother Ganga and floating the arati as a diya - lamp - onto Her sacred waters.
