Vaikunta Ekadashi is the day that the ‘Vaikunta Dwaram’ or ‘the gate to Maha Vishnu-Sriman Narayana - the God of sustenance in Sanatana Hindu Dharma. A verse from Narayanopanishad in Yajur Veda declares:

निष्कलो निरञ्जनो निर्विकल्पो निराख्यातः शुद्धो देव एको॑ नाराय॒णः niṣkalo nirañjano nirvikalpo nirākhyātaḥ śuddho deva eko nārāyaṇaḥ Meaning: Narayana is beyond sound, stainless, in the state of nirvikalpa, unknown to all, and a shining, pure deva. Ekadashi is the 11th day in each of the two phases of the moon and happens every fortnight. Vaikunta Ekadashi is the Ekadashi that falls in the month of Margashirsha. Bhagavan Sri Krishna in the Bhagavat Gita says, Masanam margashirshoham. Meaning Among all the months I am Margashirsha. The month of Margashirsha is the dawn period for the devaloka, hence Margashirsha is very sacred. In the words of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, “Vaikunta is an enlightened space. Vaikunta can be reached only by pure devotion. Vaikunta is a different space, which can be reached only by the purity of the Being. Parallel universe of your Anahata chakra is Vaikunta. If you sit and open your Anahata chakra with a depth of seeking, simply Narayana has to wake up from His yoga nidra and appear before you. The Prana of Vaikunda is Love. Prema. Bhakti. It is a very intimate space, Vaikunta. The Prana of KAILASA is Oneness. Thyaga. Fire. Vaikunta is more like cool, Prema Bhakti, Love space.” Suprabhata Seva is the first and foremost seva performed to Sri Venkateshwara, Bhagavan Vishnu Himself, which is performed to awaken the lord from His divine celestial sleep, Yoga Nidra, amidst rhythmic chanting of Veda mantras. To start with today’s Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations, we will first offer the Suprabhata Seva to Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara Swami.
