2. Mayor Don Anderson of the City of Lakewood, Washington confers a proclamation to The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) and The Sovereign of the Sovereign State of SHRIKAILASA, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam and proclaims January 3, 2022, Incarnation Day of The SPH, as KAILASA’s SPH Nithyananda Day.

KAILASA’s revival in Washington started in 2004 when The SPH visited for the first time. The temple was first established in 2008, blessed with the largest Lord Nataraja Deity of 12ft in North America. This Nataraja is personally hand carved and moulded by SPH. KAILASA Seattle is the only Shaivite temple in King County. In fact, today marks the auspicious Arudra abhishekam which happens only 6 times in the Hindu calendar. For Hindu shaivites, Arudra Darshan is extremely auspicious - it celebrates the cosmic dance of Lord Paramashiva represented in the form of Lord Nataraja, the main deity of KAILASA Seattle temple.

Since the inception of KAILASA Seattle, about 20,000 lives in Washington have benefited from its services and programs, over 78,000 free organic vegetarian meals have been distributed, and over 9000 Hindu worship services aimed for the upliftment of human consciousness have been conducted. In 2020, KAILASA Seattle has served over 17,000 of free organic meals, 15,000 people have participated in our free online programs, over 150 free yoga and meditation sessions conducted and 25 Hindu festivals celebrated.
