Friday, 23rd Jul 2021 - Today's temple sevas and enriching activity included:

1) Nithyananda Yoga morning routine - At 5 am, 4 lives were enriched for the daily Yoga spiritual routine of Prathama Vinyasa krama conducted by our yoga acharya, Sri Yogajnanananda.

2) Temple sevas - Today being the Guru Purnima celebration, ma Durga started the day with Suprabatham - waking up the deities by 6 am. Next, we prepared for welcoming Swamiji to Kailasa Singapore @7 am in the traditional way with Poornakumbham. Then, we sat to offer Pratyaksha Pada puja to our beloved Guru, Swamiji followed by the LIVE Guru Purnima message. After puja, we offered 133 items as Naivedyam (sacred food) as well as Jnanalaya puja - offering puja to Devi Saraswathi. Finally, palliyarai - putting the deities to sleep - was offered by Sri Yogajnana.

3) Annadhaan for Foodbank Singapore - Anna (food) Dhaan (giving) is regarded as the highest charity in Vedic culture. The offering of food surpasses offering of other riches because food is the source of life. The tradition of feeding food to the hungry is widely practiced in Hindu communities to attain punya. Tremendous punya is bestowed to the giver of Anna Dhaan, as the giver of food is the giver of life. After a 2-week successful donation drive, by the grace of Swamiji, Kailasa Singapore offered 50kg of organic rice and a cheque to The Food Bank Singapore Ltd to feed 3817 people. This time, we were fortunate enough to be given a tour at their warehouse. We were very impressed by the sincere hard work they are doing and their ability to match the needs of the hungry in leveraging the existing network of over 300 beneficiaries during this pandemic.
