Understand that thoughts which are happening in you is given to you by your consciousness. Every thoughts that comes to your inner space is called from consciousness. Only when you recognize that it is a call from consciousness, then you will be able to go beyond thoughts. Until you recognize every thoughts that comes to you which happens in your inner space is call of consciousness, you will be unable to beyond thoughts.
Why do you have thoughts? Look into it. The reason for thoughts happening in you is your inner space clearly understands you are not complete. The 1st level are those who instead of understanding thoughts are the call from your consciousness, you tend to fulfill them. When you start expressing/suppressing thoughts, you had taken a wrong direction. All you need to understand is why the thoughts are rising, and not saying. When you express/suppress thoughts, you are caught by thoughts. The 2nd level are those who are trying to silence the thoughts. The 3rd level are those who really heard the call of consciousness and are ease with themselves.
