Guru Purnima-4 of 10 days described and pictures posted
Guru Purnima is one of the most auspicious days of the year to receive the blessings of the Guru and to show your gratitude for the presence of Swamiji in your life.We celebrate Guru Purnima over 10 days - or Brahmotsavam. The celebrations begin with the Mandagapadi or ceremonial welcome and respects given to Swamiji, followed by the Dwajarohanam or flag-hoisting ceremony.
On this Auspicious Celebration of GuruPurnima, we perform sacred rituals of Gurumudi offerings. Offering of Gurumudi symbolizes the surrender of one’s ego and karma. This observance purifies one's energy at all levels and prepares for quantum entanglement with Paramashiva who has incarnated as our Guru, His Divine Holiness Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam.
The Truth is that we, each one of us, are Paramashiva. It is our ego - ahankara and mamakara - that makes us cognize us as different from Paramashiva.
When karma and ego gets washed out, we will be able to powerfully manifest anything that we want by manifesting the state, space, powers, being and Super Consciousness of Paramashiva.
Chitra nakshatra is the birth star of HDH Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashvam. It is the star the moon was in on the day that Swamiji was born.
As part of Guru Purnima Brahmotsavam, we will offer abhishekam to Swamiji's murty on the day in June when the moon transits Chitra nakshatra.
Guru Purnima is the most auspicious day of the year to offer puja and worship where you are liberated from lifetimes of Karma by the Guru and receive His blessings.
At our Temple, we offer our Gratitude on this sacred day to our Guru in his Nijavatara - Incarnation of ParamaShiva in Human form and a multitude of Archavatara (deities at our Temple in San Jose Aadheenam). There are multiple seva opportunities for everyone to offer on this day.
In 2019, as part of the grand celebrations, we also had multiple Pujas, Abhishekams (Sacred bath to the Divine), Completion Sessions to manifest your reality in all the three major dimensions of your life - Health, Wealth and Relationships, culminating with THE celebration of Guru Purnima on 15 July 2019. To begin the 'Vrata' an energized thread is tied after making a 'sankalpa' or resolution and we also tie a coconut which represents our ego and handful of raw rice which represents our karmas in a white cloth. At the end of the 'Vrata', the tied coconut and rice will be offered at Swamiji's feet on 15 July on Guru Purnima day at the Temple.

Significance of LAKSHARCHANA: The Nithyananda Sahasranama is a very powerful chant and an offering of gratitude to Swamiji. Every Nama describes Swamiji's infinite qualities and his Ananta kalyana-guna (infinite number of auspicious attributes). Sahasranama is a true representation of the majesty of encyclopedic exhaustiveness. There are various ways to attain all auspiciousness blessings and attain liberation in different Ages (Yuga). In this Age (Kali Yuga), even a simple practice of nama-smarana, constant awareness of the Name of God or Guru helps you in the goal of manifesting all the auspiciousness and liberation. Benefits Of Laksharchana Puja: The very purpose of an incarnation and Guru is to raise the collective consciousness & help manifest every auspiciousness in all walks of life, be it health, wealth, career or relationship. Whatever desire you have, make a strong Sankalpa (conscious resolution) during this puja and see it manifest as a reality in your life.
