Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Hindu Temple Houston serves as a place of worship, meditation & celebration (to raise our inner consciousness). With the blessings of The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, the Houston Aadheenam was consecrated through Prana Pratishta (sacred energizing process) on Feb 24th, 2017, Maha Shivaratri Day. Here, the traditional Agama Shastras are authentically followed.

“A Navagraha Dosha Parihara Sthala and a Temple for Enlightenment.”

The Houston Aadheenam is a Parihara Stala (a sacred place that removes malicious effects) for all the Navagraha (embodiment of the nine planetary energies) Doshas. During the Grand Opening and Kumbha Abhishekam of the Temple, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam blessed that the temple will radiate the special energy of Navagraha dosha shanti. All the Navagraha Doshas will be removed for the visitors and devotees of the temple.

The presiding deity of the temple, Sri Nithyanandeshwara, is a replica of Sri Kalahasteeswara, the main deity of the Sri Kalahasti Temple in India. The Linga adorns the Navagraha Kavacha, nine steps representing the Navagrahas (nine planets).

Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Hindu Temple Houston, named after Kalahasti (ancient Indian shrine in the state of Andhra Pradesh), has a 6 foot Shiva Linga – a replica of the Kalahasti Shiva Linga, also known as Vayu Linga (representing wind energy). The Shiva Linga will protect people in and around Houston from all forms of air-related natural calamities such as hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. This temple also helps people complete with the energies of the planets Rahu and Kethu which significantly influence the direction and lives of people.

Guru is greater than God, as it is through Guru, we experience God. At our Houston Aadheenam, Swamiji graces us in the form of Ellamalla siddar - Where he blesses us constantly with all sorts of miracles.

Lord Nithyananda Dakshinamurthy is an incarnation of Lord Shiva as the primordial and supreme teacher. His upper right-hand holds the drum representing harmony with Time and Creation (Integrity). His upper left-hand holds a flame, the fire of Knowledge which destroys ignorance (Authenticity). His lower right hand poised in Abhaya (Responsibility). His lower left-hand clasps palm leaves indicating He is the master of the established teachings (Enriching). Just sitting with Sri Dakshinamoorthy, he captivates us and will take us to a beautiful plane of entanglement with the Divine. Specially carved by Swamiji Himself, he embodies and blesses us abundantly just as Swamiji does.

The Mother of the Cosmos, “Adi Shakti”, the divine consort of Lord Shiva. She is a mighty queen, & she rules the kingdom exuding exemplary administrative powers, cosmic justice, & causeless compassion as a Universal Mother to all. All of us know, that Swamiji is an Incarnation of Devi Meenakshi Herself. “Meenakshi’ means “the one who has eyes like that of a fish”. Just as fishes look after & protect their young ones as their own eyes, Devi Meenakshi looks after her devotees. With her one look, one glance our miseries disappear.

Sri Venkateshwara at our Houston Aadheenam is most special, as He embodies the very same energy as Tirupati Venkateshwara. Lord Venkateshwara, at Houston Aadheenam is the only deity who has received the Yantra Stapana of the same Sudarshan Yantra of Tirupati Balaji.

In Sanskrit, Lakshmi’ means ‘intensified goal’. Devi Lakshmi is the goddess who presides over the dimension of wealth. She represents the quality of being total in our pursuit, no matter what the goal. Any goal pursued with intensity naturally brings wealth into our life.

Lord Ganesha is the embodiment of completion and playful bliss. All auspiciousness showers when we have the blessings of Lord Ganesha.

Lord Subramanya manifests from the Third Eye of Sadashiva Himself. Swamiji mentions that He is the Lord of the Spiritual Alchemy Science. Embodying valor & fearlessness, he is the favorite of all who visit Houston Aadheenam.

Goddess Durga Devi is widely revered as a manifestation of the Universal Mother, Parvati. Durga Devi riding the lion is the symbol of strength and courage.

Lord Rama is one of the most revered incarnations of Lord Vishnu and along with Maa Sita; an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi depicts a perfect and a model couple. Along with Lord Rama and Maa Sita, Ram Darbar depicts Laxman who was a model brother and Lord Hanuman who is a model devotee. Lord Rama is kind and cares most for his devotees, thus prayers offered to Lord Rama never go in vain. Lord Rama teaches one to walk the path of dharma and righteousness. He was an ideal son, ideal husband and an ideal king and a Supreme Protector for His devotees.

Lord Krishna and Radha symbolize divine love. Lord Krishna’s teaching, “the Bhagavad Gita” is the greatest divine gift to humanity in the science of Enlightenment and solutions for day-to-day living. Even the word ‘Poornavatara’ is too small for Krishna. He is the manifestation of all the powers & all the experiences described in the Vedas & Agamas. The celebration is his life & message. No one can celebrate, celebrate, celebrate like Krishna! He’s so much in love with life, in romance with the cosmos. Nothing ever even occurred to him as pain; he never occurred as pain to anything.
