Named by Paramasiva Himself, “Jnanasambandar” means the one who has gained contact with the ‘Siva Jnanam’, the highest spiritual knowledge, the knowledge of Paramashiva.Tiru Jnanasambandar appeared and transmitted by His shining living example, how to be the true child of Existence. He not only tasted the Divine love of God, but shared it freely with humanity, singing and glorifying the name of Paramasiva and Devi.

Tirujnanasambandhar Swamigal is the incarnation of Paramashiva, the reviver of the Madurai Aadheenam - Shyamalapeetha sarvajnapeetham and the Guru Mudalvar of Madurai aadheenam. Tirujnanasambandha Swamigal incarnated as the son of Shivapada Hridayar and Bhagavathiar in the temple town of Sirkazhi, 2000 years ago. Tirujnanasambandar was born in the holy town of Sirkazhi (Sembai), Tamilnadu, in the Chola empire. He appeared as the son of God, living the path of “sat-putra-margam”.

Assuming the human body for only 16 years, the purpose of His divine incarnation was to revive, re-establish the pure enlightened science of vedic tradition, “Veda Neri”, which He declared as the only philosophy of Kailasonnata Shyamala Peetha Sarvajnapeetham. The quintessence of the Vedic tradition is to express and radiate “devotion and gratitude” for Paramasiva.
