Title:
Recall Your Past to Revive Your Future: Nithyananda Morning Message (29 Oct 2010)
Description:
Today's discourse by Avatar and enlightened master Paramahamsa Nithyananda was a real mind-bender. He explained very patiently to the confused crowd that past, present, and future all exist at one time, on one shiny screen.
Imagine you are standing in front of a huge canvas painting that is over 200 feet long. You can only view a few feet of the painting at a time, but the entire painting exists, just sitting there waiting for you to see it all.
This is the same with time. As Paramahamsa Nithyananda has told us again and again, time is matter. You can only catch moments at a time. The same with this painting! You are standing in front of a section, and decide to call it the present. The part of the painting you have already seen you label "Past", and the part of the painting you have yet to see, you call "The Future". The painting doesn't change; how you perceive it changes. When people ask if the future is set, or can we change it, Paramahamsa Nithyananda's answer is: "The future cannot be changed, YOUR future can. Meaning, the future is a painting. It is there. How we react to this painting is under our control. It can be changed by our sadhana, our spiritual practice.
The topic for the day gives three techniques. Recalling the past is a cleansing meditation technique. Resting in your present is a technique for living. Reviving your Future is a technique for creation.
