I welcome you all with My love and respects.
Today’s subject is ‘Quantum Spirituality’. First, let us understand the word quantum. Then you’ll really be able to understand what I mean by the word 'Quantum Spirituality.' This word 'quantum' has become very popular in the recent modern days. In every field, not only in the physics, in every field, the quantum word has become very popular. Earlier physicists were telling, “matter is energy. Whatever you see as matter is nothing but energy. There is no difference between matter and energy.” After some time, they started telling, “The same particle at some time exists as matter and exists as energy. Sometime, the same particle expresses itself as matter. The next moment the same particle expresses itself as energy.” After some time, they started telling, “There is no time gap. The same, at the same moment, it is energy and matter.” Now recently they say, “Not only there is no time gap, there is no space gap.” Of course, the ideas which I am expressing needs your attention. The truth which I am expressing is very deep. It can transform your whole life. It can change the whole way of thinking, your mental setup. This moment, it can liberate you.

Scientists are telling earlier, “The matter and energy are not two different thing.” Next, they come up to a level, “Energy and matter are only different thing in different time. The same particle at this moment is energy, the next moment it is matter.” After some time they started telling, “There is no difference. The time gap doesn’t exist. It’s not like fifty-fifty - for few moments it is matter and few moments it is energy.” No.
Let Me give you a small story, that may give you an understanding. One meat shop owner was brought to the court. Customers were complaining about him. He is mixing too much of beef into the chicken. Meat shop owner is giving an explanation, “Sir, in my shop board itself is very clearly written, I mix fifty-fifty.” Judge said, “I understand you said fifty-fifty, but after tasting your meat, I don’t believe it is fifty-fifty. I did not have, I did not experience the taste of chicken in that. I felt it’s purely beef.” Owner said, “No Sir, honestly I tell you, I do only fifty-fifty. One chicken, one cow.”
The words, if you don’t understand, you will completely miss the truth. Of course, words cannot give you the complete experience, but it can take you to the point from where you can take the jump into experience.

Now the words which I am uttering, or the words which I am sharing, directly they may not give you the experience, but if you allow these words to work on you, it can take you to the point from where you can jump into the experience. You can go beyond the words.
Matter and energy are not only, not two different things, there is no time gap. At every moment, the same particle is matter and energy. The recent days, the scientists are saying, “Not only there is no time gap, there is no space gap.” This is too much. They say, whatever you are seeing is not as you think. If you are seeing me, they say, I am not as you understand. And if you are seeing your neighbour, they say, he or she is not as you understand. If you are seeing the chair, they say it doesn’t exist as you understand it. It’s a truth which shakes your whole understanding. It just moves the very understanding, whatever you think, or whatever way you understand the world, scientists are saying it is not the truth. The truth is something higher.

Just how the quantum physicists say, matter and energy are one and the same, I experienced the spiritual and material life are one and the same. As on now constantly we have a struggle between our head and heart - material life and spiritual life - the lifestyle which is imposed, forced on us by our school, college, universities, and the life style which is the truth or which really your heart wants to live. These two are pulling us apart. The logic is pulling us towards one direction, and the heart is taking us towards the other direction. Constantly we are torn, we are disturbed between these two kind of lifestyle. We are trying to choose.
If I have say, the frequently asked question... again and again and again, I am asked by people, “Swamiji how to reconcile between this spiritual life and material life?” Please be very clear, the very doubt the spiritual life and material life exists because you have an idea about life. It is your mind in which both the concept exists. Material life means, the life of logic, whatever you think as life. Life taught, life taught to you by your university, schools, colleges. The life of achievement - what next, what next, what next. Next, spiritual life. Spiritual life is like a vertical line. Material life is like a horizontal line - what next, what next, what next, based on your logic. Spiritual life is like a vertical line. You just fly. Spiritual life is based on the intuition. Material life is based on the logic.

The big problem is always there is a conflict between this intuition and logic. What you want, and what society wants from you. What you want, and what society wants from you - these two, these two wants constantly fight with each other. You are being pulled and pushed from this side to that side. One side, your logic is constantly pulling you. The other side, the heart is constantly asking you to live the life which you wanted to live. As long as you believe you can travel only in one direction, your life will be hell. Your life will be hell. Be very clear, as long as you believe you have to choose either spiritual life or material life, your life will be hell. Because any choice - choosing. Choosing means, you exclude something, you avoid something. The moment you try to avoid something, one thing is sure, it will again and again come into your being. Just try to avoid remembering monkey. Constantly you’ll be meditating on monkey. Person who tries to avoid remembering something will be constantly thinking about the same thing. The moment you exclude something, you already created hell for you. You already created trouble for you. The moment you start choosing, you created suffering for you.

Bliss is choicelessness. When you are choiceless, you are in ecstasy. When you are choiceless, you are in bliss. The moment you start choosing, you have created hell for you. You have created hell for you. People again and again asked Me, “Swamiji how to retain the bliss?” I tell them, “The moment you choose bliss, you created pain for you.” Even choosing bliss is a choice. Bliss happens to you as choicelessness. When you are in choicelessness, when you are utterly relaxed, when you are completely relaxed, when you are in choiceless consciousness - bliss happens to you. It’s like when you put your hand in the river, if your hands are open, you will have the water. The moment you lift your hand and try to hold the water, you will have only empty hands. The moment you try to hold the bliss, you will create hell for you. Any choice, the moment you try to decide, the moment you try to choose - you are creating hell for you.

Small story. American young guy went to London. He was travelling in a train with a elder, elderly lady and gentleman. Lady had a pet dog. Suddenly the pet jumped on him, on this guy, and messed up the whole thing. Instead of apologizing, that lady started petting the dog, “Ooh, I think you are having bad stomach. You are having a problem.” She did not bother to apologize. She started petting the dog. After ten minutes, again the dog jumped and vomited on him. Again this lady, she didn’t bother to apologize. She started talking to the dog, “Ooh, I should take you to the doctor. I think I should give you little medicine.” She started taking care of the dog. After ten minutes, again the dog jumped on him. And it is too much. This guy simply picked up the dog and threw out the window. Till this moment, the elderly gentleman was keeping quiet. Now he got up and started shouting, “You Americans drive in the wrong side, measure with the wrong scale, talking the wrong way. Now you threw the wrong person out of the window.”

When you choose, you always take a wrong decision. Any choice, the moment you are forced to choose - you are in trouble. You are in dilemma. Mind exists as long as you have dilemma. Please be very clear, the root of the mind is nothing but dilemma. If you have the conflict, if you have the problem of whether spiritual life or material life - be very clear, you are living a material life. If you have the doubt, “Am I living a spiritual life or material life?” Be very clear, today you can drop the doubt; you are living a material life. The doubt or the dilemma, conflict, all these things clearly show you are in hell. You are in hell.
Somebody asked Me, “Swamiji, people say that marriages are decided in heaven. Is it true?” I tell them, “I don’t know whether it is decided in heaven or not, but after that people live in hell. That much I know. After that people live in hell.”

If you have to decide, the very dilemma is nothing but hell. Your mind is trying its best to choose between the horizontal line and the vertical line. At one moment, you are trying to travel in vertical line. At some time you are trying to move in the horizontal line. Your head, your logic, whatever is taught to you in the school, college, that forces you to travel in horizontal line - materialistic life, but your heart is moving in a different direction. It always wants to rest, relax. That is why you have conflict between your work and vacation. Continuously you have conflict between your work and vacation. When you are in the work, you are thinking about your vacation. When you are lying in the beach, you are thinking about your work, what has to be done next. One thing is sure, if you here, you are not here. If you are here physically, mentally you will be doing something else. If you are some where physically, mentally you will be doing something else.
I always tell people, people who are not sitting in front of Me physically, they are more connected to Me, because mentally they always remember Me - “I could have gone to the lecture. I should have gone to the program. I think I missed it.” People who are sitting physically - “I think I could have gone to some other program. I could have been sitting and watching movie, or I could have done that.” Anyhow we have come, let us sit.

The mind always moves between extremes. Be very clear, your mind cannot survive if it doesn’t move from extremes. The very survival of the mind happens, because it moves from extremes. Mind means extremes. The fight between horizontal line and vertical line. The moment you started creating fight in you, conflict in you - be very clear, your mind will never die. You will never be able to live the life.
Somebody asked Me just one hour ago, 19:29 I was meeting with a group of friends. One person asked Me, “Swamiji, how to purify the mind? How to create good thoughts?” I told him, “There is no such thing as good thought. Thoughts as such completely bad.” Let you be very clear, even if you have a thought of doing a big service, it is purely out of ego. It’s purely of the ego. Thoughts as such is bad. If compassion happens to you out of no mind state, thoughtless energy - only that can be pure. Even your idea, even your thoughts to do service will never do any good to the world, be very clear.

A small story. There’s, there was a school. The tradition of that school is everyday scout boys have to stand up, and report to the scout teacher some good deed which they did in their life that day. Everyday they are supposed to do some, one good deed and report to the teacher. That day three scout boys stood up. And they said, “Sir, we helped a old lady to cross the road. She was very old, elderly lady. We helped her to cross the road. Cross the road.” The teacher was surprised. He said, “For one lady to cross the road, three persons are not necessary. Why? Why three persons? You don’t need three person to make one lady to cross the road.” They said, “No Sir. We need three persons because she doesn’t want to cross the road.”
Whenever you try to do service out of your mind, you only create trouble for others. Let you be very clear, all services done out of mind, only creates more and more trouble for you and others.

Any thought, any thought, it creates conflicts in you and in others. The pure thoughtless space or mindless space, the energy only can give good to you and to others. Purifying the mind is simply impossible. Try your best. Of course, most of you must be trying by so many methods. I have seen people who constantly repeating some mantra, some sacred words - “Rama, Rama, Krishna, Krishna,” something. Constantly they‘ll be repeating, counting their beads. Why do you think people constantly repeat, count their beads, repeat some names, repeat some mantra? They are afraid of their mind. If they relax for two minutes, what all will come out of them, they don’t know. They are sitting on a volcano. That is why constantly they, they engage themself. And I tell you, these so-called people who have chosen the so-called spiritual life can never relax. At least a person who have chosen the material life can relax. The person who have chosen a spiritual life can never relax. They’ll be forcing themself to do something.

In many Indian houses I have seen, they will start the habit of Devi worship. At some day, they would have done some worship, they would have felt really peaceful. The moment you feel the peace, immediately the greed starts. The greed starts. “I should have this same peace everyday. What to do?” Then, do the same puja. Do the same worship. After one week you can see, they’ll be waiting when to finish the worship and come out of that room. And they will never go into that room again after, after the worship is done. I have seen people, they will start chanting these holy names, thousand and eight names or hundred and eight names. After two minutes, the first thing they will do is, they will see the number - what number they are running. Are they running around hundred or two hundred or three hundred.
The moment you choose something, you create hell for you. All choices, the moment you choose - there is nothing can be done, nobody can save you. At least the people who have chosen the material life, they’ll only be restless. And, they’ll always have the guilt - “I have chosen it, I am suffering.” But the people who have chosen the so-called spiritual life, they will not even know the reason why they are suffering. Why they are suffering.

Constantly repeating something, trying to remember something, trying to chant some name - all these things are methods to suppress you, to suppress your consciousness. They can neither help you, nor they will liberate you. At the most they can give you more and more trouble, that’s all. See the people who are repeating names, whatever God it may be, see the people who are repeating names - thirty-forty years they’ll be repeating. They’ll be repeating and... but their mind can never achieve the purity. They will never be pure, because they are suppressing. Suppressing cannot lead you to transformation. Suppression cannot lead you to transformation.

Let you be very clear, purity can happen not by suppressing the mind, but only by dropping the mind. Purity can happen to your being by dropping the mind, not by suppressing the mind. When you choose a spiritual life, you are suppressing the material life. When you choose a material life, you are suppressing the spiritual life. That is why whoever has chosen material life, they are always running behind some Gurus, some Master, some meditation, some program, some spirituality. And whoever has chosen the so-called spiritual life, the so-called spiritual life means the religious life - ringing bell, doing puja, this type of… priests, they will always be running behind rich people. People who have chosen the material life, they will always be running behind spiritual people. People who have chosen the so-called spiritual life, they will always be running behind rich people, material people. Because, you do not know what you are missing. Constantly the other part of your mind will be creating trouble for you. If you have chosen the material life, you’ll always have the feeling that you are missing something. You are missing something. You are not complete. You don’t feel the fulfilment. You think maybe the other shore is more green. And if you have chosen the so-called spiritual life, again you have the feeling maybe the other shore is green.

As long as you have mind, be very clear, your life is suffering. As long as you have mind, life is suffering. You cannot purify your mind. Either you can have it or drop it. That’s all. It’s like garbage, there is no good garbage or bad garbage. There is no good garbage or bad garbage. It’s a garbage, either you have or drop. You mind is nothing but pure, I can’t say pure - impure garbage. It’s nothing but garbage. Constantly you are trying to move from this side to that side. You cannot exist, your mind cannot exist if you accept the life as it is even for a single moment.

See here I am telling you, a simple straightforward technique; before leaving this hall, you can become enlightened. Before leaving this hall, you can realise the truth. Before leaving this hall, you can experience the truth which I experienced.
I always tell people, scientist is a person who creates the formula to reproduce the intellectual understanding which he had. For example Newton. Newton saw apple falling. He had some intellectual understanding, immediately he created a formula to reproduce the same understanding, so that everybody can understand what he understood. He created a formula - theory of gravity to reproduce the understanding in our minds.
Scientist is a person who creates a formula to reproduce the intellectual understanding in our minds.
Mystic, Master is a person who creates formula to reproduce the same experience which happened in him.
Now I am giving you the formula to reproduce the same experience which happened in Me. Accept your body, your mind as it is. Accept your life as it is just for a moment. Just for one moment, if you accept your body, mind and life as it is, suddenly you will see that your mind is not working. Because, your mind has no goals. As long as you want to develop, as long as you have dilemma - your mind will be active, you will be working, you will be travelling towards the hell. Be very clear, all travelling is travelling towards hell. All movement is movement towards hell. You don’t need to move towards heaven. Just be, you are already in heaven. There is nothing else needs to be done. Constantly when you are moving, constantly when you are running - you are moving towards the hell.

Any movement is a choice. Because of your decision, because you choose - you are moving. If you can give a small break to your mind, suddenly you will see whatever you think as material life or spiritual life - they are not contradicting each other. They are complementing each other. As long as you have an idea about material life, even before leaving the material life, you will have the problem. As long as you have the idea about spiritual life even before you start the spiritual life, you have the guilt.
Let you be very clear, your ideas about material life is not material life. Your ideas about spiritual life is not a spiritual life. Both are just your ideas. If you live your life with ideas, it is purely material life. Ideas are matter. Ideas are from mind. If you live your life just with the flow, you are living a spiritual life. Spiritual life or material life are not related to the status in which you are living. It is directly related to the state of mind in which you are living. Do not work on the status.

People come and asked Me, “Swamiji, should we renounce our life to become spiritual?” I always tell them, “Just renounce what you don’t have. There is no need to renounce what you have.” There is no need to renounce what you have. Live with whatever you have. Renounce what you don’t have. There are so many things which you don’t have but with which you are living. Your fears, your worries, your complexities, your problems, your fantasies - they are all not there in your life, but you are living with them. If you just renounce what you don’t have, but with which you are living, you are trying to live, that is enough. There is no need to renounce what you have. Just live with what you have and renounce what you don’t have. I always tell people, “Ninety nine percent of your worries never become true, never come true. Whatever one percent comes true, it’s always good for you.”

But constantly you are living with worries. Your life starts, moves, ends in worrying. Constantly your mind is kept alive because of your dilemmas and conflicts. Conflicts and dilemmas are only the feeding source for your mind. Your mind is alive because of your conflicts, because you create contradiction.
First thing, Buddha says, “Desire is the reason for suffering. Drop it.” Immediately you create one more desire - to drop all the desires. Instead of understanding the truth and realising it, experiencing it, you create one more desire - “I should drop all the desires.” The moment you created one more desire, the problem started. The next thing, “I should drop all desires. What should I do?” Then, you try to do something. Whatever you try to do to drop desires, naturally it will lead to one more desire. Instead of understanding, you start creating theories. When you start creating theories, you miss spirituality. You create concepts about spiritual life.

People again and again ask Me, “How to be desireless? How to be pure?” Be very clear, you can never be pure, you can never be desireless, if you try to be, if you try to be. “Then what should we do?” Move with your mind, let it go, let it move. Sometimes you will feel like cont, continously working. Sometimes you will feel like completely resting. Sometimes you will feel like not doing anything. Sometimes you will feel like doing so many things. Whether you are feeling to do something, or to rest - be very clear it is just mood. It is mood. The big problem is you respect your thoughts too much. You give too much of respect to your thoughts. And, you have so many prejudices about your thoughts, about your mind.

Just a simple story. Understand, try to understand this simple story. That will give you deep understanding how your mind works, and how you move.
Three brothers, by very nature, all three don’t get along well. Of course, brothers and sisters cannot live peacefully. Especially if you are living together, it’s simply impossible. Three brothers, they are from a family of fishermen. Everyday morning they go for fishing, come back, and once they come back from fishing, go to the arrack shop and fill themself. Morning they will float in the ocean, evening they will float in the arrack. They drink. This, this is the lifestyle. One night, after drinking, I think it has become too much, all the three fell on the same place, there in the shop. Early morning, elder brother, he somehow managed to open his eyes, called both the brothers, “Come, come, it is time. Let’s go to the ocean. Let’s go to the sea. It’s time for our routine.” All three of them slowly started, started moving out of the shop.
After ten-fifteen feet, all three of them felt they have come to the ocean. They just sat in the road, main road and started fishing. One is sincerely rowing the boat. The other two are spreading their net, and picking up the fish. The whole thing is happening in the main road itself. Suddenly there appeared a policeman, he saw the whole scene and understood what is going on. Gave a big blow to the elder brother and shouted at him, “Just move from this place. Take both of your brothers from here. Otherwise, all three of you will go to the jail. Don’t do all these nonsense in the main road. It is time you go to your home.” The brother was able to understand something, something is wrong. He has not completely understood what is going on around him. He understood there is something wrong. Next thing he understood, he has to take both his brothers from this place immediately. The moment he thought he should take his brothers from that place immediately, he started rowing fast. He started rowing.

When you don’t understand the very base or the root, whatever efforts you make will be only creating more and more troubles. First of all he didn’t understand where he is, what he is doing. He is not able to understand the very base. When he doesn’t unders, when he is not able to understand the base, whatever efforts, whatever he tries to do, he will be only creating more and more problem. He will not be able to solve the problem.
Same way, when you don’t understand the root, whatever decisions you are making will be only creating more and more trouble for yourself and for others. As long as you have conflict between this material life and spiritual life, be very clear, you neither understood material life nor understood spiritual life. By your very nature, by the very existence, you are pure space which is beyond material life or spiritual life.

That’s what I tell by the word 'unclutched.' By your very nature, you are unclutched. By your very nature, you are free. The idea of material life or the idea of spiritual life, both are bondage. Both takes away your freedom. By your very nature, you are liberated. You are completely liberated free being. Understand this one example. The moment you decided to stand up, you renounced the thought to sit. The moment you decided to drink a wat, drink a glass of water, you renounced the thought of standing. The moment you decide to walk, you renounced the thought of listening to the discourse. The moment you decide to get into the car, you, you renounced the thought of sitting here or standing. Constantly you are renouncing your thoughts.
People ask Me, “Swamiji, sometimes I am not able to control my mind. There are some desires which makes life, my life hell, but I am not able to drop that desire. How can I drop the desires?” I tell them, “Please try to hold on to that desire continuously. Try your best.” Let you be very clear, you cannot hold on to any desire.
The moment you decide to walk, the moment you decide to have a glass of water, whatever desire you might have heard, you renounced that. Unless you renounce that desire, you cannot have the next thought of, next thought to have a glass of water. Every moment, you are constantly renouncing your thoughts. You are constantly having new, new desires, new, new thoughts. The moment you have some fear, you renounced all your greeds. The moment you have some greed, you renounced all your fears. Constantly you are renouncing. When you don’t understand that constantly you are renouncing, you try to bring back your memory. You try to bring back your thoughts. Your desire to have a big house and the desire to have a glass of water - both of them are equally intense in your inner space. But, because of your prejudice, your conditioning, you think the desire to have a house is a big desire, and desire to have a glass of water is a small desire.

Let you be very clear, in your inner space both of them are one and the same. The moment you have the desire to have a glass of water, you renounced the desire to have a house. Unless that desire moves away, this desire cannot come. Constantly thoughts are changing in you. Constantly the new desires are appearing in you. Constantly you are moving. In your inner space, the desire to have a glass of water or the desire to have a big car - both are equally intense. Only in a superficial level, in the social level, because of your conditioning, you start believing desire to have a big car, desire to have a house is big desire. You can’t renounce them. Desire to have a cup of tea or a glass of water is a small desire. The very idea something is big desire, something is a small desire, the very idea something is a big fear, something is a small fear - only these ideas create hell in you. Constantly you are renouncing. Constantly thoughts are moving in you.

One more thing, you should understand the secret of your mind, the secret about your mind - your mind is a illogical, independent, completely irresponsible, unconnected thoughts. Let you be very clear, your thoughts are not logical. Your thoughts are not connected. Your thoughts are not completely responsible. Your thoughts are not linked logically. A simple experiment. Try to do this simple experiment. Sit with the paper and pen, write whatever comes to your mind. Do not edit. Do not say it’s a right thought, it’s a wrong thought. Do not say it’s a good thought, it’s a bad thought. Just write down. Just write for yourself. After ten minutes, try to read that paper. You will understand what big mad asylum is going on in you. Just try to write for ten minutes whatever comes. And after ten minutes, try to read that paper. You will understand what I am saying. Your thoughts are completely irresponsible, unconnected, illogical and independent.

Let Me tell you a small example. You see a dog in the street. Immediately you remember the dogs about which you are afraid, or the dogs with which you played in your young age, your pet in the young age. The next you will remember about your childhood. First the moment you see the dog, you remember about your childhood pet. Then you remember about your childhood life. Then you remember about the teacher with whom you studied. Then you remember the place where the teacher used to stay. Simply just like that thoughts will move. There is no logical connection between the dog which you saw in the street and that teacher under whom you studied. Even though both of them have barked at you. There is no logical connection between the teacher, between the teacher and the dog. Your thought style, your thought structure, your mind flow is completely illogical and unconnected. Try your best to bring it to align, you will never be able to do.

Somehow by God’s grace you can’t control your mind. If you can, long before you would have become mad. Let you be very clear, constantly people come and ask Me, “Swamiji, last thirty years I have been repeating some mantra, but still my mind is not concentrated. Still my mind has not become holy. The moment I stop repeating mantra, same old type of thoughts come in the mind. What to do Swamiji?”
One young monk, went to an elderly monk who is ninety years old. Young monk is asking, “Sir, please guide me. I am haunted by bad thoughts. How long it takes to come out of these bad thoughts to become pure, to become holy?” The elderly monk said, “I don’t know how long it takes, but surely till ninety years you will have the same problem. I don’t know how long it takes, but surely till ninety years you will have the same problem.”
Be very clear, trying to control the mind, trying to suppress the mind will lead you to only more and more problems. You cannot control the mind. You cannot suppress the mind. All you can do is only one thing, drop the mind. You can create a distance between you and the mind. All techniques, methods to control the mind or suppress the mind leads you, leads only to more and more contradiction, more and more complications, more and more difficulties. Any of you are here, if you honestly check with yourself, if you have tried to control your mind, not for one year or two year, even ten or fifteen years, you can understand the truth behind My words. If you have really tried hard to repeat some mantra, to repeat some holy name, to repeat some meditation, to repeat some technique to control your mind, to suppress your mind - you will understand the truth of what I am uttering. You will understand the truth behind these words.

Let you be very clear, mind cannot be controlled. The moment you try to control, you are choosing between materialistic life and spiritual life. Mind can never be controlled. Try your best to control, it cannot be controlled. You can do only one thing. You can create distance between you and your mind. You can only drop the mind. You can only go beyond the mind. You cannot control the mind. You can see in your life, the moment you see somebody, mentally you will be thinking, “I should respect this person. I should respect this person.” You will be trying your best to respect that person mentally, but unconsciously one thought to disrespect him will come. The moment that thought comes, you will try to suppress your mind, “No, no, no, I should not think about him like this. This is not the right way, and I should respect him.”
And if you want to love somebody, same way, the moment you think that you should love somebody, immediately one thought to disrespect him or hate him will come. And what you’ll do? “No, no, no, I should not think all these things.” You suppress it. You see a good food. The moment you think of eating, immediately at least one thought of fear, “No, no, no, I think I should control myself. I should control my tongue.” Always your mind will create some contradiction, some conflict, some problem. At one second, it’ll create something which is completely opposite of what you want to do, what you want to do. Mind exists because of these dilemmas, because of these contradictions, because of this conflict.

By your very nature, you are unclutched, constantly you are renouncing the thoughts, constantly you are giving up your thoughts. The moment the thought to drink a cup of, drink a glass of water comes, you renounced your serious desires. The moment you decide to stand up, you renounced the thought of sitting. The moment you decide to get into the car, you renounced your desire for your house. You cannot stick to a single thought. Unless the next thoughts comes, your life cannot move. If you stop at one thought, be very clear, you are dead. You are dead. Life moves because you are constantly renouncing.
Let you become very, let you be very clear, life is happening in you because you renounce. Even in your body constantly millions of cells are dying. That is why millions of new cells are being created; because you are ready to renounce, you are ready to renounce some part of your being, the new part is getting created when you are alive.

The day you decide to stop renouncing, you will be dead. The day you decide, “I will not drop any of my part. I’ll stop so many millions of cells dying in my life.” Immediately, the creation of cells will stop. You will see the big death. Let you be very clear, by your very nature, you are renouncing. Your mind, your thoughts, your flow, everything is getting again and again purified by your very nature. But, when you start believing strongly there are some thoughts, either guilt or fear or greed. “No, no, no, I am not able to renounce them. I am not able to give up, give them up. They are again and again coming in my mind.” Your belief that you are not able to renounce them is the only problem. Nothing else is a problem. Then again that becomes a one more connection. Let you understand this single truth, it can liberate you this moment.

Beautiful example, beautiful quotation from J. Krishnamurti, a great Master. Somebody goes to him and asks, “Master, my friend is having lot of problems with sex and fantasies. Can you give solution?” Somehow, when it comes to fantasies and sex, only friends will have the problem, these guys will never have the problem. I am surprised. Always people come and ask Me, “Swamiji, my friend is asking me, he is having a lot of problem with fantasies. Can you help him?” I tell them, “Please call your friend. I’ll directly help him.” People are afraid to put the questions. They are afraid to put the questions.

When food is not a big problem in your mind, when food is not a big contradiction or conflict in your mind, you are having so much of problem, with the relationship, with your regular life, why? You believe that is more deep rooted than the food, you believe that takes away more energy than the food. In your inner space, somehow you are made to believe, conditioned by society, “this is right, this is wrong, this is- this should be given too much of importance, this should not given importance.” It is the social conditioning, you are made to believe, something is right, something is wrong.

Let you be very clear, I am not saying, whatever you do is right. I’m not giving you licence, go and do whatever you want. No. (Participants laughing) But I’m saying, Your belief about right and wrong is wrong. Your ideas about right and wrong is what creates, what makes you to do right and wrong. Let you be very clear about one more thing, the more you try to do something, you will not be able to do. The more you try to avoid something, you’ll be constantly doing it.

There are three ways to do something. First, do it by yourself or hire somebody to do. Third thing, tell your kids not to do, that's all. The thing will be done. There are three ways to do something, one, you can do it by yourself or hire somebody to do it for you, or just tell your kids not to do that. That's all. Same way your mind, also the moment you say; don't do this! You will see that you’ll be doing that. Anything, when you create conflict, when you create dilemma, you will be constantly failing in that effort.

I always tell people, let you completely come out of the mind, suddenly you will see a beautiful morality flowering in you. Suddenly you will see, you will not feel like hurting anybody. Whatever morality is taught to you, from the young age, you will see that all those things happening in you. Morality should happen in you. If you try to force it on you, you will only creating more and more problem for you. If you integrate your being, if you understand that you are constantly renouncing your thoughts; the moment you understand, constantly you are renouncing. You are not caught as you think in greed or fear or guilt. (03:37)
The moment you have some fear, be very clear, you are liberated from greed. The moment you are caught by greed, be very clear you are liberated by - liberated from fear. The moment you are having guilt, enjoy you are liberated from greed and fear. Constantly you are liberated. Instead of seeing from the angle you are constantly liberated, you are seeing from the angle constantly you are bound. That is the only difference... Constantly you are getting liberated. The moment, for example, first you had the thought to drink, after drinking you are having the thought of guilt, after the guilt you are having the thought of fear. Constantly the thoughts are changing.

If you look from outside, you will say, “I'm continuously suffering, because of my greed, fear and guilt.” Then your whole life will be a suffering. If you see from the other side, constantly you are renouncing your fears, you are renouncing your guilt, you are renouncing your desire. Unless you renounce your first thought, next thought will not happen. Unless you renounce the next thought, the third thought will not happen.

Let you be very clear, you are constantly liberated. Constantly the thoughts are moving out of your inner space. Your inner space is getting purified. If you put your eye from the outside and constantly think that you are under bondage, you are suffering. You are suffering with your fear, greed and desires. You are having small letter i, you are having ego. If you look at from the other angle and if you feel constantly you are renouncing; your inner space is renouncing, suddenly the fear came, the moment guilt came the fear has disappeared, the moment greed came the guilt has disappeared, the moment next thought has come this has disappear.

If you celebrate your liberation, if you celebrate the very nature of your renouncing, you will have the capital letter I; the self consciousness. Then, what you have is Atman. If you are constantly suffering about your mind, you are having ego. If you are constantly celebrating about your mind, what you are having is Enlightenment. That's all.

Let you be very clear, you cannot change your mind. If you tried your best to change your mind, then you will understand the truth beyond My words. If you have not tried, try your best then you will understand, you can't change. If you're already intelligent enough, you have tried enough, you will understand the truth beyond My words. If you’ve not tried, you will not be satisfied, by My- by My word. You will think, “No, no, no, He is too young, He doesn't know. I think I should try to control my mind. I should try to suppress my mind, I should try to purify my mind.”

People always think, “It is possible.” Let you be very clear, it is your ego, which makes you believe, that you can control your mind. You can not control your mind, you can only create a distance between you and your mind. When you are a little away from your mind, suddenly you will see, new kind of integrity. A beautiful morality happening around you. By your very nature, you will not disturb anybody. By your very nature, you will live a moral life. By your very nature, you will be giving.

As on now, our morality is based on fear, greed or guilt. Your morality is based on fear, greed or guilt. But, when you realize, that by your very nature, you are a liberated being, you will have a new morality, which is based on love, compassion and gratitude. Morality based on fear, greed and guilt is only skin deep. Whenever you get a time, you get a chance, you will try to go beyond. That is why, if you know for sure there is no watching camera, you will try to jump the “road signal”. When you know there is nobody watching, you'll always try to increase the speed, little bit.

Morality, which is skin deep, can neither help you nor help the society. When you are completely integrated, when you understand by your very nature, you are unclutched. By your very nature you are liberated. By your very nature, your inner space is getting purified itself. Your inner space has got quality to purify itself. That's a reason. The moment next thought comes, the earlier thought disappears. You are like a... pure sky. Pure space. You can understand this one example of water bubbles coming in a fish tank. You can see continuously water bubbles coming, because they are continuously coming, you think they are linked to each other. But they are not linked to each other. They are completely independent, separate water bubbles. Because there is no gap, you think they are connected to each other.

Just like that, your mind. Every thought is completely independent. Completely illogical, completely unconnected and you cannot do anything about it. If you understand this one truth and relax from your mind, suddenly you will see a new integrity. New way of thinking, new way of living starts happening in you. You will see purity happening in you. You will see, bliss happening in you. You will see, compassion happening in you. You will see clearly you have become such a beautiful human being. You are living in heaven. You will be radiating Bliss.

Be very clear, you don't do, you don't commit sin and go to hell, you commit sins because you are in hell. You don't commit sins and go to hell, you commit sins because you are in hell. Person, who is in joy, in ecstasy, will never commit any sin. You can see in your life. If you are utterly relaxed, joyful, ecstatic. Even if your servant does some mistake, you will not bother, “alright, forget about it, leave it.” Even if she drops a glass, even if she breaks something, you will say “leave it, its ok. Let's buy new one.” But if you are in a, in your regular mood, constant irritation. If you are in your regular mood, of constantly irritation, there is no need for servant to do any mistake. Even if she comes in front of you, you will just jump on her, you will try to fire; you will try to vomit your irritation.

Be very clear, never think you commit sins and go to hell. You commit sins because you are in hell. Same way, you don't do some good things and go to heaven, you do good things because you are in heaven. The very mood, which makes you to do good things or bad things, is what is hell or heaven. Hell and Heaven are not geographical, they are psychological... If you are completely integrated, if you are in ecstasy, if you are in bliss, you will be constantly doing good things and you will be exhibiting the ultimate morality in your life. You will be radiating morality in your life. You will be radiating joy in your life.

If you are trying, constantly to be moral, if you are constantly trying to fight with yourself, without understanding the truth of your mind, even if you are successful creating morality, it’ll be only skin deep. As I was telling you, the ninety year old monk making a statement, “I don't know when we’ll be successful, but till ninety your suffer.” Let you be very clear, suppressing or trying to purify, doesn’t work. When you try to suppress, you exclude. You are choosing. You rubber stamp something as material life and something as spiritual life. Then, you already created hell for you.

When you do not choose, when you understand, by your very nature you are renouncing, by your very nature you are renouncing. by your very nature you are moving. First thing, do not be afraid of your greed, fear or guilt. They are not so superior, they are not so worthy. There is no need to be afraid of them. Because, every moment they are leaving you by themself. Just… one thought, to drink a cup of coffee is enough, to renounce any big greed, to renounce any big fear, to renounce any big guilt in you. The moment you have the thought to have a cup of tea, you already renounced the greed. You already renounced the fear. Already the guilt has disappeared.

Unless that moves, this thought can not come. The moment this thought has come, already the thought for, thought of - greed is moved out. Your inner space is pure. The problem is; you are not ready to believe. The liberation is so simple. The truth is so simple. You wanted complicated things. If I teach you; no, no, you have to sit ten hours per day and repeat some mantra, Ram Ram, Krishna Krishna, something. Or if I tell you; sit straight and close your eyes, and hold your nose and turn it as long as, as much as possible. If I torture you, you are very happy. And you think, “yes, this Swami knows something”. And He‘s really teaching us a great thing. But if I give you a simple truth... I’ve always seen, whenever I tell people, by your very nature, you are renouncing.

Somebody came and asked Me, “Swamiji, I have too much of greed and fantasies, how to renounce?” I asked him, the moment you decide to ask Me, do you have that thought? He said, “when I was trying to ask you there was no fantasy Swamiji.” Means already you renounced. The moment you decided to ask Me the question, the fantasies have disappeared in your inner space. Why are you bringing them back? The moment you decided to come inside, you renounce the thought of standing outside. The moment you decide to sit you renounce the thought of standing. Means; constantly your thoughts are disappearing.

But, you are not ready to believe that they are disappearing. You bring them back. You, bring them back and give them life. People ask Me, “No, no, Swamiji, unconsciously they are there, that is why they come up again and again, subconsciously they are there in some corner, that is why they are coming up again and again.” Be very clear, the idea of subconscious and unconscious, all these things are complete bogus concepts, complete cheating. Completely they are the concepts inserted in your mind to exploit you, that's all.

The so called religious people, constantly create a guilt in you that you are a sinner; the moment that you have a guilt, easily they can exploit you. Same way, the people who are trying to help you in the mental level, the so called psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, the psychologist, they created a concept, that you have unconscious, you have subconscious, you have all, these, that conscious level and you need to purify that, you need to purify this, you need to purify that, you need to clear this. They created all this guilt in you.

one important thing, unless you believe you have disease, you will not pay for the doctor. Unless you believe you have some mental difficulties, you will not pay for psychiatrist. Let you be very clear, it's a pure business. The concept of sin is created and taught to you, so that you'll have guilt and you will be obedient to the so-called religious people. Same way, the concept of unconscious and subconscious is thought to you, so that, you will be completely obedient to this so called psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, and psychotherapist.

Let you be very clear, the guilt; the moment some guilt is created in you, you are ready to be exploited. People who are in that business, they constantly promote guilt. If you understand that truth, this moment you will be liberated. You can be liberated. There is no subconscious, there is no unconscious, there is no sub-unconscious. Let you be very clear, all these things are purely your faith.

Understand this one statement, all negativity, all negativity: Your subconscious, your sin, your hell, idea of ghost, idea of wrong thought, idea of immorality, all negativity has got only one power; your faith on it. That's all... All negativity, if you think, you are too much unconscious you are too much of subconsciousness, you are not aware of what is happening. Whatever negativity you think, you have, has got only one power: your faith on it. That's all.

The more you believe that you have subconscious, more problems of subconscious will be happening in you, the more you believe you are unconscious, the more problems related to unconscious will be happening in you. It is your faith; creates solution or problems in you. Whatever you nurture in your inner space, will become reality. If you understand, by your very nature, you are renouncing, you are unclutched, by your very nature, you are liberated; you will live a liberated life, your life will become “celebration”. If you constantly believe; you have unconscious, you have to clear it, you have subconscious, you have to clear it, you are having to much of immorality, you have to clear it, you are having to much of sins, you have to remove it, you have too much of load of karmas, you have to remove it. You will be constantly creating troubles from all these thoughts.

Let you be very clear - sin, karma, destiny, unconscious, subconscious, fate, evil, all these concepts are pure concepts, created and inserted into your inner space to exploit you. Person, who wants to exploit you in the level of astrology, he creates the concept of destiny. Once you start believing destiny, you’ll always be behind him. The person who wants to exploit, in a religious level, he creates the concept of sin and karma. The moment you start believing sin and karma, you will be always behind him do some merit; to find out some ways to escape from karma. To find out some shortcut from the sins.

The same way, the person who is in the field of psychology and psychotherapy, and psychoanalyst, these guys, they promote the concept of unconscious, subconscious. The moment you start believing unconscious and subconscious, you will always be behind psychoanalyst. Be very clear, whoever wanted their business to be successful, they created that type of concepts and inserted into your head. So that constantly they can exploit you.

Now it is time to understand the nature of your mind and liberate yourself from all the so called problems of your life. All your problems are purely so called. All your problems, when I say all, I mean capital letter A-L-L, I mean capital letter A-L-L. All your problems are purely, because you started believing these concepts. Concept of karma, concept of astrology, concept of destiny, concept of sin, concept of merit, concept of punya, concept of papa or the modern days, the concept of subconscious and unconscious.

Let you be very clear, these concepts, only create more and more complications. But, your mind is such, you are ready to believe, complicated theories. You are ready to believe complications. If somebody gives you, more and more words, more and more theories, you are very happy. You are very happy and you think, “Oh I learned so much, and he really knows.” When somebody says, “things are very simple, don't worry, liberate yourself, it is pure simple thing,” you are not ready to believe. You say, “No, no, no I think he doesn't know much.”

Somebody came to Me and he said, “Swamiji, I have this problem, can you give me some mantra or some ritual? Can you prescribe some solution?” I said, the moment you decided to talk to Me, you renounced your problem. The moment you decide to sit here, the moment you have, you got the thought that I should sit here, the problem is disappeared from your mind. Why are you bringing it again and again?

Do not believe you are a continuous being. Do not believe you have continuous mind, your mind is not a connected chain. The moment you start believing, your mind is a connected chain, you created a major problem. The moment you believe your mind is a clutched shuff, you have created a problem. By your very nature you are unclutched. The shaft in you is unclutched. The moment you start believing you are clutched, you connect all your sufferings and you say your life is suffering.

The pain which happened in your life ten years ago, the pain which happened nine years ago, the pain which happened two years ago, they are completely independent, individual incidents. When you connect all of them and see, you start seeing your whole life is a pain. The moment you decide, your whole life is a pain, you try to break the pain, you try to disconnect yourself from the pain, you try to control the pain or sometime, you connect all the blissful, joy incidents and you create a shaft your life is joy. The moment you start believing your life is a joy, you will try to extend that shaft, the moment you try to believe your life is pain, you try to break that shaft. You can neither break the shaft nor extend the shaft because that shaft doesn’t exist. The shaft doesn’t exist.

The joy which you experienced ten years ago, the joy which you experienced nine years ago, the joy which you are experiencing two years ag-which you, which you experienced two years ago, they are completely independent, unconnected incidents. They are no way connected to each other. Mentally you try to connect them, and create a shaft. Same way, the pain which you experienced ten years ago, the pain which you experienced nine years ago, the pain which you experienced two years ago; they are completely independent incidents. When you mentally start connecting them, you will see, shaft of pain. The moment you start imagining the shaft of pain, you will try to break it. Neither breaking nor extending is possible. Because the shaft doesn’t exist. It is your mind, which connects and creates an idea about your life. The moment you start connecting and creating an idea you created hell for you. You created, hell for you.

By your very nature you are unclutched. By your very nature you are independent. By your very nature you are liberated. The big problem is... Once you take some sweet and feel the joy, immediately, you associate that joy with the sweet. Second time, if you want that joy, you try to do the same act. But after two three times suddenly you realize, the same act does not bring the same excitement. First time when you had a sweet, the excitement which you had, is not again and again happening whenever you are having the sweet. even after this experience, your mind is not intelligent enough to understand that the outside action and inside excitement are not directly linked. They’re unclutched, they are unconnected.

When you are not ready to believe that, you try to force yourself and try to see the same taste in that sweet. Sometimes you understand, “no, no, it is not same.” But you are not ready to believe, because, if that is also not tasty, what else I can do? You are afraid of that, “why”? You wanted something to be joyful. So, even if it is not joyful, let me imagine. Let me believe, let me force my joy on it, and try to experience it is joyful. You are not ready to believe the truth, you just close your eyes and try to believe, “it is joyful, it is joyful, no, no it is joyful. It is joyful. It's like a dog, trying to bite a dry bone. After biting so many times, that bone has poked the mouth of that dog from it’s own mouth the blood is coming. After a few minutes the dog has started believing, the blood is coming from that dry bone. It is enjoying the blood from the it’s own mouth but is believing the blood is from the, bone.

Same way, you force yourself and you try to believe that joy is from that object and you do not want to understand the truth. They are completely unclutched. The outer object and the inside excitement; they are unclutched. Let you understand; the joy which you experienced ten years ago, the joy which you experienced nine years ago, the joy which you have experienced yesterday, they are individual, independent incidents.

Same way, the pain which you experienced ten years ago, the pain which you experienced five years ago, the pain will - which you experienced yesterday, all of them are completely independent, unconnected and illogical incidents. They have no connection, they have no connection. They are completely independent. But you are afraid to understand this truth. Because, the moment you understand, the life and incidents are completely independent; you are afraid, “then, based on what I can live? What is the basis of my life? What can be the base for my life?” The fear becomes too much, the fear is too much. The very bottom on which you are standing, I’m taking that bottom. The very root is shaken; because of that fear, because of that insecurity, you hold on to your same dull, old mind. You do not want to let go the mind. You are not ready to let go, the mind.

Let you be very clear, there is no need for your mind for you to exist. For you to exist, there is no need for mind. There is no need for dilemmas. There is no need for worry, there is no need for fear. You can exist without dilemmas. You can exist without fears. You can exist without worries, you can exist without your mind. You can exist in a unclutched way. The moment you start living in an unclutched way, you are liberated, you are Jeevan Mukta. That is what the song of is Shankar Acharya, the Nirvana Shankara says; I am not the body, I am not the mind. Because, constantly you are unclutched. You are completely unclutched, even though you believe you are clutched. You are unclutched. Even if you don't believe that you are unclutched, you are unclutched.

When you try to connect. One more small story... One born blind man, went to the doctor, was asking the doctor, “Doctor can you do an operation or can you help me, to have my eyes?” Doctor said; surely, I'll do an operation, you can have your eyes back, then you’ll be able to walk without that stick. Usually the blind people use a stick to walk, to feel the things in the ground. Blind man suddenly asked, “Doctor I understand you will do an operation, I understand I’ll be able to walk, I’ll be able to- I’ll have my eyes, but I‘m not able to understand, how can I walk without stick?”

You can't intellectually answer, convince, the blind man, he can walk without stick. Only, after he gets his eyes back, only when he’s able to see, he will understand, he can walk without stick. Till then, you can't convince him, he can walk without stick. Same way, only when you understand, courage is enough to drop the mind, you will understand, you can live without mind. You can live without mind. There is no need to choose between material life and spiritual life. Choosing means, Mind. Choice means mind. Choicelessness is mindlessness. You can live without mind. You can live in a mindless state, you can live with a pure energy.

Of course, mind is not ready to believe, because, first thing is mind convinces you, that mind is, it is - existence of mind is necessary for you to survive. Otherwise, you will not be a slave of the mind. First thing, let Me tell you one more example, you can see even in your own profession, if some of your servants convince you, for your business or your, or in your life, his existence is necessary, without him you can't run your show. He will exploit you constantly with that one faith. If you start believing, without this servant or a assistant, you can't run your office or your life, you will see that he will be exploiting you.

First thing, he will make you believe, he will convince you, without him you can't run the show, then he will exploit your whole life. Same way, your mind first convinces you, without it, you cannot survive. Then, it’ll be constantly exploiting you. It'll be constantly exploiting you. Same way, your mind convinces you first, you can't live without mind, then it completely exploits you; it keeps you as slave... Let Me give you a one more example. In India, in the forest, in North Indian forest, they will have a net to catch birds. How they catch birds? Let Me show you a small example. (...) There’ll be a small, (...) they will just hang like this one small stick, with a thread, on a tree. Thus, this, thread will be, this thread will be there, small stick will be hanging, when a parrot comes and sits this side, suddenly, the whole thing will turn topsy turvy because of the weight, because of the weight of the parrot, just the whole thing will turn.

The moment the stick turns, the parrot will be hanging upside down. The parrot will be hanging upside down. The poor parrot, doesn’t understand, he is hanging upside down. If he leaves the hand he can just fly. He will be afraid. He thinks that if he leaves the hand he will fall and die. He will be completely hanging. He will be hanging for hours together. Slowly the hunter will come, after two, three hours, he will just catch the parrot, put it, put it him in the bag.

Understand, how the foolish parrot thinks, if he removes the hand, if he removes the leg, he will fall and die. He doesn’t understand, if he leaves, what will happen? He can just fly. If he leaves, that moment, he can just fly. But he thinks, logically what he thinks? If he leaves, he will fall and die. Logically what he's thinking is right, but existentially is it right? No. Logically, it is hanging. He is completely hanging topsy, turvy. So, naturally what he thinks? If I leave the hand, if I leave the leg, what will happen? I may fall and I'll die. He is holding on, he is completely trying to hold, because of his insecurity feeling. He doesn’t understand, if he leaves, if he opens, if he relaxes, he can just fly.

Same way, how the parrot is (...) hanging, in a foolish way, we are also hanging to the mind. The moment you let go, you can just fly. You can become Paramahamsa. You can just fly, you are liberated being. How, the parrot is behaving in a foolish way, just out of insecurity, trying to hold and creates more and more suffering, you are also trying to hold on to the mind and create more and more suffering. Just let go. You will be able to fly. You can start flying. By your very nature, you are liberated being. Just like that parrot, you are creating bondage for yourself. You are creating, bondage for yourself. You don't need mind. Thare is no need for you to have mind. There is no need for mind, for you to exist.

Let you understand, this one truth, this one message, carry this single message with you. By your very nature, you are unclutched, liberated, independent being. If you can celebrate, your state of unclutched or Jeevan Mukta or the liberated being, you will live in that same state. If you believe, you have unconscious, you have subconscious, you have this, you have that, constantly you will be choosing, between material life and spiritual life. Any choice is choosing hell.

Let you be very clear, any choice, even if you choose bliss, you are choosing pain. All your decisions will lead only to more and more complications. Let you understand that, by your very nature, you are unclutched and let go, do not be like that foolish parrot. We are all hanging, just like that parrot, with the mind.
