Monday, February 14, 2011 Prayer. Welcome. Today’s subject is Samadhi prarinama – space of Samadhi! Patanjali is explaining in many sutras, in many different possible ways about Samadhi. Please understand, we may think why is he talking about Samadhi from so many different angles. He is talking so that so many different types of people understand Samadhi. When he talks about nirodha prainama he is giving process for people who can click with sacred sentiments. But in this sutra, he gives logic for person with logic and intellect… Patanjali is Jagath Guru who gives solution for all problems and techniques and technology for all possibilities. He can reach out to every possible problem that can happen to every possible mind, liberate them and make them experience every possible spiritual experience. Samadhi prarinama – space of Samadhi! What he defines as nirodha parinama & this is on.. 117th Patanjali Yoga Sutras 3rd chapter 11th verse - Sarvartha ekagratayoho kshaya udayou chittasya Samadhi prainamaha Nirodha parinamaha I translated as space of no mind. Samadhi prainamaha I translate as space of Samadhi. But both are same with different branding. In that sutra he was talking to different audience & this sutra he is talking to different group, different mental set up. Vivekananda: taking in all sorts of objects & concentrating upon 1 object or two modifications of the mind, when the 1st of this is suppressed and the other… Prabhavananda: when all mental distractions disappear & the mind becomes one pointed, it enters state called samadhi Satchitananda: when there is a decline in distractedness and appearance in one pointedness then happens Samadhi parinamaha – development in Samadhi! Osho: Samadhi prainaam – the inner transformation is gradual settling of disturbances and simultaneous rising of one pointedness. Please understand I will give you the exact meaning, concept & then I will you the translation. Taking up any one object or experience or idea and hanging all your thoughts to that one idea, one concept and being centered on that one concept, on that one idea, on that one truth, slowly mellows down the unnecessary wanderings & movements of your mind which allows the inner sun to radiate. Which allows the constant deflection, the maya affect inside you to disappear, which allows the super conscious transition as reality. All the techniques, technology, spirituality, religion,e verything you use is for smooth super consciousness. As human beings the moment you assume the body, the moment you are embodied, you have received the possibility of being enlightened. You do not have choice whether to experience super consciousness or not but have choice whether transition to super consciousness is going to be smooth or rough. Life is nothing else but transitioning from where you are to super consciousness. Life if you are feeling you exist, anything you do is transitioned into super consciousness! Spiritual practices, religious technical make the transition smooth, blissful, happy. Life is super conscious transition, any action you do, transition is happening. The acts and thoughts which makes the transition smooth, joyful, relaxed, bliss I called … Here patanjali is explaining a very powerful way for smooth transition into super consciousness. Please understand transition into super consciousness automatically makes you … There is a beautiful story in the vedic tradition – Brahma & Vishnu – wealth & knowledge are fighting as to who is superior…the fight is eternal though it is ephemeral – 2 anithyas are fighting for nithya!then shiva a…. till then in you the wealth and knowledge try to possess you. Till age 20, knowledge possesses you, after 20 years the wealth possesses you. Blessed are those who allow the consciousness to possess you! if you are spending the 1st 20 yrs in Bhaf 1st quarter of my life is spent for transmission into super consciousness. Now brahma, Vishnu everybody is serving me. see my life with open eyes. When I say brahma I mean knowledge, when I say Vishnu I mean wealth. This is because the first 20 years of m y life I wa Every child should be allwed for the transition into super consc. After IT revolution, wealth & knowledge is available all over. All you need is just decide and pick it up. That’s all. Nothing else if required. the IT revolution has brought plenty… Wealth & knowledge is all over. You just need a consciousness to pick it up and enjoy. So spend little time & energy on super conscious transition, you will just see wealth and knowledge is serving you as a by product waiting at your gate to serve you. Samadhi prainama means taking up one truth and connecting all the distractions, thoughts, modifications happening in your inner space to that one subject or object you picked up through that allowing the inner awakening to blossom, Samadhi to happen in yrou inner space is Samadhi prainamaha. So pick up any one object go on … Allow that one to shine in your inner space as powerfully as possible, as gracefully as possible, as intensely as possible. See when you allow one objecft to shine in yoru inner space, you will allow 3 things – 1. Transition into super concs 2. Unncedssary wastage of mental energy will stop 3. An extraord unimaginable creativity open through your inner space. Through out this scandal, all I did was go on resting myself into the state of excitement at the age of 12. I saw 3 thing sahappened – more and more the body was being soaked into establishing into the super consciousness, there was no depression or disturbance, no distraction. 3rd extraordinary creativity expressed through me! so understand, we are only growing from auspiciousness to more auspiciousness! Every day the mission is exploding! People have seeking. We have transformation. So we can go on giving transformation for people who seek for it. We cannot be destroyed and disturbed! Pick up one subject, one concept, one object and add all your thoughts, ideas into that. Put everything into that. You will see these 3 happening in you – 1. 3. extraordinary creativity Catching one subject and ensure that all your thinking in that one subject. Blessings!
