Today Paramahamsa Nithyananda, rare avatar and enlightened master discussed Patanjali's Yoga Sutra 84th, chapter 2, 33 verse: "Vitarka badhane pratipaksa bhavanam - When thoughts obstructing to yoga arise, contrary thoughts should be employed." Swamiji explained the essence of this sutra as "whenever body and mind are not interested in following the yama and niyama, create 'vitarka' -- the strong feeling connection by creating the right, opposite thoughts in you and aligning yourself to the strong will.
