Shahi Snan Simhasta Kumbh Mahaparva || Ujjain || May 2016

Description

Kumbha Mela is known for its record of the world’s largest gathering of people. It is happens once every 12 years where nearly 100 million people from around the globe gather. In 2016, the Simhastha Kumbh #Mahaparv happened in #Ujjain. Millions gathered at the sacred Shipra River for snan (auspicious dip) celebrating the Enlightenment Sciences of Hinduism and the spiritual lineages (sampradaya) that have been keeping these sciences alive with integrity.

Apart from its spiritual significance, the 42 day festival also showcases the diversity and grandeur of the world’s most ancient tradition. Naga Sadhus, Gurus, devotees, spiritual seekers take part in the grand celebrations. It is known that aghoris, tapasvis who have been away from human sight are visible only in Kumbha Mela. The highlight of the festival in 2016 was the camp of His Divine Holiness Nithyananda Paramashivam. As part of His commitment to ShriKailasa Uniting Nations for the Revival of Ancient Civilizations, HDH dedicated the 42-day festival to reviving and re-establishing the grandeur of the ancient Vedic civilization. Unprecedented numbers thronged the camp to get just one auspicious glimpse of HDH and His devotees, bringing the city of Ujjain to a standstill. All eagerly sought the divine blessings and initiation of HDH. Tens of thousands of followers of His Divine Holiness from more than 100 countries from all continents flocked to Ujjain to participate in the auspicious happening. More than 5000 spiritual seekers participated in an absolute free of cost, all provided 21-day program hosted by HDH during the festival. For the full 42 days, free food and medical care was provided for hundreds of thousands 24/7, amounting to more than $8 million. HDH blessed millions of people through darshans, initiations, and spiritual processes as well as community services, providing both spiritual and social welfare for humanity at large. In this video, you can see HDH in the huge procession with all its grandeur towards the sacred Shipra River for the Shahi Snan. During the procession, Naga Sadhus, recognising the living incarnation, approached Bhagavan’s chariot to offer their devotion by pulling His chariot and receiving His blessings. This moment was the fruition of their decades of tapas, an opportunity they have waited for lifetimes! It is customary for saints and spiritual leaders to take a dip in the holy river, followed by the crowd of devotees. His Divine Holiness Nithyananda Paramashivam, as the supreme pontiff of Hinduism, was the first in line of the saints for the Snan. Once again, millions of beings benefitted from the responsibility fulfilled by HDH as a living incarnation, as they are rid of their karmas by dipping into the same river as Bhagavan KAILASA movement is not a new concept but it is the very reason for the happening of HDH Nithyananda Paramashivam. With a documented record of the past 20 years - the KAILASA movement showcases pure hard work, passion, extreme sacrifices made by HDH from the very beginning. Inspiring mankind one on one, baking bricks piece by piece, initiating beings individually for 20 years altogether stands tall today as hope for an enlightened future known as KAILASA. KAILASA is a nation created by dispossessed Hindus from around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries. Though the KAILASA movement is founded in the United States, and spearheaded by members of the Hindu Adi Shaivite minority community, it is created for and offers a safe haven to all the world’s practicing, aspiring or persecuted Hindus, irrespective of race, gender, sect, caste, or creed, where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference, and violence.
